Thank you for a lovely stay at College Hill. Peaceful and tranquil. Comfortable rooms and delicious breakfast. Thank you too for your help charging our electric car. Perfect stopover for places including Newgrange, Knouth, Kells, Loughcrew Cairns
If staying near Slane or Navan or wishing g to be near the Boyne valley then you should really book a couple of nights in this splendid house and gardens. The room we had was excellent and very clean and warm, good size comfy bed and separate en-suite. Primrose room. Good views looking into garden. The breakfast was outstanding and as one of my friends says when he likes to boast about a place would say one of the best breakfasts he has ever eaten, well I don't he has been here and I think this breakfast would beat them all. Freshly prepared and Eileen makes and prepares it all that morning. Home made wheaten bread light and tasty just as it should be. Full choice of breakfast is available, continental style with a selection of cheeses and meat, fresh fruit and fresh orange juice and cereals is all on offer. As for cooked breakfast full irish is available, and the black and white pudding is the best I have tasted in a long while, local farmer makes it. Eileen & Bruce, thank you for your pleasant Irish hospitality and certainly would recommend your place to anyone and everyone…
College Hill House is an absolutely beautiful house full of quaint guest rooms, a charming dining area, and gorgeous gardens. Our room was comfortable and spotless with modern amenities. The dining room was elegantly spread with a delicious breakfast, which our host fixed for us a bit early as we at a 9am tour at Newgrange. Eileen was accommodating, fun, and informative. If had been able to stay longer, it would have been nice to chat more. She does all the work on the gardens surrounding the house they are just lovely. We really enjoyed walking the grounds and taking in the beauty. In the morning, I was able to spot several bird species as well. The house is located just 15 minutes from Newgrange, making it ideal for travelers driving in for a tour the next morning. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!…
Treat yourself to a stay in this beautifully restored home and garden. My daughter and I had a restful stay in this tranquil haven near Slane village. Our host, Eileen, was very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was superb. The garden is delightful. We look forward to going back.
We came here for one night stay, and Eileen-wat a personality- literally couldn’t do enough for us, such beautiful surroundings and nothing but an ideal, friendly and wonderful host. Thanks v much - tankardstown house is close by with new grange and other features v close by, a real gem
Myself and my husband stayed here for one night as we attended a wedding. This is a very upmarket bed and breakfast. The decor is amazing and the owner Eileen presents herself as beautifully as her home. Attention to detail is fantastic. Eileen prepares an exquisite breakfast with homemade scones, bread and a compote as well as lots of cold meats and chesses followed by the best full irish I've ever had even better than 5 star hotel and all set in a beautiful room. The grounds are magnificent I could not rate this place higher and would absolutely return. Thanks Eileen for a lovely stay. Tracey and joe
We stayed at College Hill while attending a wedding at Tankardstown. It’s in a great location for reaching the venue easily; we checked in just before the reception and the staff were very accommodating. The rooms and interior design are beautiful, and the breakfast delicious! We very much enjoyed our time here and would like to return when we do not have a wedding to attend!
We stayed one night and if anything wouldn't have minded to stay at least another. We thought we would miss breakfast as we came down from our room after the designated time (10am) but they had set a table for us :) Even though we had only a few interactions when we left they remembered our name and wished us well. Little things that counted
My daughter Alison who was to marry the next day booked this house for myself and wedding party. Fab rooms clean and comfy the best nights sleep! Eileen is a great host with a great memory for names and showed us around her home including a little history about the house. Breakfast was amazing with good quality produce. Highly recommend this College Hill House and Gardens
My husband and I spent one night in College Hill House after attending a wedding in nearby Tankardstown House. This B&B was such a delightful experience from the stylish decor and beautiful gardens to the delicious home cooked breakfast including ingredients produced at the property. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone exploring this area. Thanks to Eileen for her wonderful hospitality.
