We booked a double and single for our 3 night stay. The rooms were spotless and the Double had a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite and a four poster bed. R A really lovely room. Downside it was on the second floor and there was no lift and the stairs were quite steep. ( I found it hard going as I am waiting for a hip replacement.) The single room was also very clean but had nowhere to hang up our adult sons shirts etc. No wardrobe!!! The staff were very helpful and courteous the breakfasts and dinners were superb.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed breakfast each morning. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Plenty of space for my husband, toddler and I. The room was a little warm thanks to the good weather. But because of our toddler we couldn’t slide the window open. House keeping kindly gave us a fan. Which we really appreciated. The Baba eggs are amazing. I would highly recommend. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was always served fast and hot. Delighted with our family weekend away. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff friendly, bar open late and comfortable to relax together (it would be nice if they served snacks in the evening). We had an early reservation at Newgrange, and this was very convenient. Recommend.

Recently stayed in a twin room which had a double and a single bed. The room was spacious, very clean and well equipped. We were impressed with the fact we could watch Netflix on the tv in the room. The staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights to attend a family wedding. The hotel is cosy and friendly and the reception room was perfect for our group of 60. The staff were very helpful and friendly and added greatly to our enjoyment of the day. The food was also very good. Our stay was in the Boyne House across the road. The room was beautiful. We did have an issue with the tv but this was satisfactorily dealt with by pleasant staff. All in all we would definitely revisit if back in Meath.

Comfortable homely hotel. Booked family room for three of us - great value for money. The rooms were connected and one bathroom which was adequate. The room was well presented and had everything eg generous toiletries, bathrobes, tea/coffee, tv, hairdryer, complimentary water etc. We booked dinner on first evening which was lovely. The menu has a good selection and we enjoyed sea bass, steak and duck. Staff were efficient and friendly. There is free parking at the back of hotel. The hotel is located in centre of Slane town. Overall a very relaxing two nights spent here. Would definitely return here.

I recently visited the restaurant for dinner and left quite disappointed. Upon arrival I was met by a very unwelcoming member of staff that appeared to be the manager. She was blunt, rude and made my family members and I feel uncomfortable throughout our visit to the restaurant. This restaurant has a lot of potential due to its idyllic setting in historical Slane. However, it is let down by the average food/ menu and unfriendly atmosphere. I certainly won’t be returning to this restaurant again.

Where to start? After our third cancelled date (due to Covid) we decided to give it one last bash, and are we glad we did! We had our big day last Friday and it was everything we could've dreamed of. It was intimate, beautiful and personal. We had the whole hotel booked out (15 rooms) and we also booked out the luxurious Boyne House across the way and the Post Office. Our wedding planner Tracie went above and beyond to ensure we had the day we wanted, she was fantastic to work with, she knows her stuff and I really appreciated her advice throughout! We decided to opt for a small wedding of 60 guests which suited the venue perfectly. The decor was beautiful and the food was to die for. We received comments like "best wedding we were ever at", "I can't stop thinking about the food", "the servers were great fun". It's hard to sum up how amazing the day was. We wouldn't change one thing about it and so happy that we chose to go with the Conyngham Arms!
