We had a three bedroom house for three nights, very impressed with the facilities. Everything you could want in a kitchen, cosy living room with couches and a TV, and comfy beds. The heating wasn't great on the first night in one of the bedrooms, but Paula supplied a portable heater to help sort it, and we got the fire going in the living room too. Really well set up for kids - our guy had lots of fun drawing on the blackboard in the communal den, and playing with the toy kitchen. There are a couple of llamas on site, as well as chickens, a three-legged cat and lots of birds, so plenty for small kids to watch outside. There are plenty of things to do nearby as well - Navan has a great swimming pool, and a short walk in Balrath Woods was nice despite the rain! Zucchini's in Navan is also highly recommended for a meal out!…
Lovely cottages...very spacious and clean. Great for a family holiday. Paula, the owner, is very helpful, pleasant and attentive. Nice, rural location and lovely places to visit within a 30-minute radius
Very well constructed, quiet cottages with areas for kids and teenagers to play out. 15 mins from Tayto Park and 35 from Dublin Zoo so plenty of extra days out. The cottages are fully equipped and there is a welcome package on arrival. There is a lovely pub/restaurant a mile or so away called the old bridge inn/willows, also highly recommend. Definitely a great base to go out from if you are in this area.
Just back from a family break at Decoy Cottages. We had 5 cottages out of the 8 on site. The cottages are fully equipped to the highest standard. They have everything you'd need for a family holiday. Fantastic areas for kids from the den which has a games room, pool table, foosball table, books and large blackboard on the wall to the outdoor area which has a playground, sand pit, trampoline, basketball ring and football area. There is also a tree house and fire pit. Each house has dvds and board games, stair gate and travel cot. Paula is an excellent host and emailed the first morning to make sure everything was OK. There is a patio area at the rear of the building which has 4 sets of furniture... a great area for our group in the evenings. There is also a bbq with charcoal for your use. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough and will definitely be back.…
Stayed in the barn for three nights during July 2021 & had the most relaxing & wonderful time ... The facilities were perfect for the 4 children under 4 that we had with us .... Safe & everything provided meant we could really relax & enjoy our break away. Would highly recommend & hope to return very soon.
We wanted a relaxing and self-catering option on our recent 8 day stay in Ireland. We couldn't have made a better choice than Decoy Country Cottages. From initial contact with the booking, through to the thoughtful welcome basket on arrival our experience was of the highest quality. The Cottages are in a beautiful rural setting but within easy reach of Navan, Dublin and the airport. We stayed in the Stables and the standard of equipment and furnishing was first class. Even the little 3-legged back cat (Scoot) has been trained to take care of the guests. He was at our door every morning to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed watching TV with us in the evening. I highly recommend this wonderful accommodation....you wont be disappointed.
We recently stayed 3 nights at The Barn at Decoy Cottages. The property is very well presented, spacious and clean. It had everything we needed for our stay and more. The secure parking and location were perfect. Would highly recommend as the best accommodation in the area.
I needed to express many thanks for the professional manner in which rebooking issues were handled due to travel restrictions. These are difficult times for businesses and I hope that places like this manage to survive
We stayed two nights in The Hen House at Decoy. The property was excellent with a well appointed kitchen, spacious dining area and cosy living area downstairs and two large bedrooms upstairs one en suite (the bed was very comfortable). The nearby Den and play area would be ideal for those holidaying with children. The cottages are ideally located for those wishing to visit the many historic sites in this part of Ireland. We hope to return in the future and would definitely recommend to anyone.
Stayed here for a couple of days this week and it was really fabulous. The cottage was spacious and homely, so clean and a really lovely place to relax. A home away from home. Lovely fresh bread, eggs and jam were left on arrival too. Will definitely return.
