Apart from it's beautiful setting, Bellinter house has amazing staff. From checkin to bar dining to breakfast they are easily the most kind and welcoming staff I have ever encountered on holidays in ireland. We will definitely try to make this a regular holiday.
The hotel was beautiful, quiet and very comfortable. Glad I found this hotel and after a long trip very peaceful rest. The cost was reasonable, food was great and grounds were beautiful. I will go back and I hope stay longer.
We chose Bellinter House for an overnight stay last weekend however we were left slightly disappointed. The main let down was the breakfast. The cooked breakfast was a self serve buffet style, however the food was cold and dried out. We had to request toast and while tea/coffee was given, no refills were offered. There was a wedding booked into the hotel for that day and the staff seemed preoccupied by this, at the expense of the other guests. At check in we were asked for the full payment upfront which seemed unusual for such a hotel. We also then had to ask for information and directions to the spa and other facilities. On checking out we weren’t asked how our stay was and it was little touches like this that can elevate a stay from average to something excellent.
Travelled to Bellinter for a one night break away with son and daughter in law. Totally relaxing venue. Lovely attentive staff. Love the changes in The Eden restaurant in terms of decor. Food was absolutely beautiful. Relaxed and enjoyable dinner followed by a cocktail in the bar! A comfortable nights sleep and a n enjoyable and tasty breakfast the next morning. Will return
Tina and the other staff in Bellinter House, could not have been nicer, staff went out of their way to make our wedding night stay so memorable. Very high standard of hospitality provided but with a lovely informal thoughtful touch. Thanks so much.
We stayed in Bellinter house for my husbands birthday. The property was gorgeous, staff, food and service top class and was just a really lovely break away. Would highly recommend for a peaceful retreat.
Beautiful romantic countryside setting, stunning Roses, Ancient Trees, interesting Artworks, fabulous breakfast, lovely afternoon tea room, outdoor jacuzzi, close to the Hill of Tara where we enjoyed the summer solstice.
Lovely, quiet overnight stay in a friendly atmosphere with great food. A round of golf and then stayed locally in this hidden gem. Water in shower took a while to reach appropriate temperature... but plenty of towels and room was clean and airy
The lights in the room were not working properly: of 4 panels only one worked and only for bathroom lights, all other lights were flickering and not usable. The drain in the shower was blocked and the tray filled up to the brim after about 2 minutes. The shower head was half blocked with limescale. Was also disappointing that there was an extra change for the robes for the use of “complimentary “ spa facilities! Sure considering the price of the night’s stay and the claim of “complimentary” facilities the host could be not cheapskates and provide the robes. Was very disappointed, as during my first stay in Bellinter House in the same rate room these were provided. Check in was slow and the staff at the reception were unfriendly. This, unfortunately, was a stark difference compared to my visit in April 2022, when the room, service and attitude of staff were superb, hence I was looking forward to coming back. Not so convinced after this trip. P.S. luckily the bed was super comfortable (in fact, one of the best hotel beds), otherwise I would have nothing positive to say about this particular stay.…
This house hotel is in a beautiful setting and the house is lovely, but there is so much room for improvement. Staff was nice and friendly. We stayed in the Ruins rooms near the spa and the bathrooms and rooms are really in need of an update/ refresh. We looked into the spa/ hot tub/ steam/ sauna areas and would not go in with them. We had dinner in the casual bar the first night and breakfast in the morning. The food was fine but nothing spectacular. It's a hotel I really wanted to love but I simply wasn't impressed. Not the best value for the price to pay. It just misses the mark which is a disappointment because it could be so nice.
