I probably expect a little different from most people, as I can sleep just about anywhere if I have to, as long as I’m not sitting straight up (unless I’m driving). The rooms felt and looked clean, sheets were in good condition, I didn’t feel like I was in a hotel. The views were lovely and to what I felt comfortable leaving my window open to, at least in my particular room. Love a good sunrise wake up. 5 minute walk to McGan’s pub which, while I didn’t get to try the food, I heard was excellent. The bartender was a lovely fellow, I believe his name was Sean but I’m awful with names. A little further to the other pubs. 15 minute walk to the pier which is amazing at night with the waves crashing on the shore and not a soul around. 15 minute walk to the Doolin hotel which is the bus stop. I enjoy walking. We got a 15~ euro taxi to the Cliffs of Moher and hiked along the cliffs. Amazing. 20~ euro taxi to the cave of doolin. Wonderful. The tour guide is a great time. Highly recommended. Breakfast was wonderful. But most importantly Susan was completely lovely. She didn’t let you feel like a stranger which made it so nice to stay there. Ireland is a magical place and the people are incomparable in my travels so far. Makes it a nice environment with the other guests too, everyone feels acquainted because Susan knows everyone’s name. She even picked us up from the bus stop because we got in late! Take in to account your own preferences for location, but it’s a great place to stay and a wonderful atmosphere. I would probably recommend renting a car for Doolin in hindsight. There’s far more to see than meets the eye for a town so small!

There was no Wi-fi at this B&B, so beware! When we got there, the owner, Pauline, told us her Wi-Fi got cut off recently. She made no effort to contact me to tell me this. She advertises "Free Wi-Fi", but it's not true. She said she has hayfever and her husband is sick, so thank God she had some other people cancel their reservations, she said. So, when she told us, we went up to the room to think about it. We left our luggage in the room and drove 5 minutes down the road to get Wi-Fi and see if there was anything else available. "The Sailbox" had availability. We came back & let her know there's no way we could stay there. We were there for a wedding & Wi-fi was the only way we could communicate with everyone. We didn't purchase an international phone plan, so calling anyone was out of the question. She was mad. I asked if I could get a refund & she said I'll have to contact booking.com. So, I did that and can you believe Pauline would only credit me one out of the two nights? I guess it costs 80 euro to use her bathroom and drink her tap water. That is a really bad business move. You are in the wrong business if you can't be a fair and humane person. You need to be a more professional and gracious businesswoman.

We stayed for 3 days and I have never been treated so badly at a B&B before in my life. Pauline should not be in hospitality if she doesn’t like dealing with people. Myself and my family would have left, however we were attending a family wedding close by, so we were stuck where we where. The house was fine, however the hosts not so much!

I stayed there in a small double room with one other person for a night while attending a wedding in Ballymagarvey Village which is a bit of a drive. Nice welcoming lady & porch area. Bedroom, basic and a bit old fashioned decorated. On the positive side it was warm despite the very cold December weather outside and the beds were firm and comfortable. We had a good nights sleep. On the negative side the on suite shower room stank to high heaven so much so it had me retching and on one stage physically getting ill. When I'm paying good money I do not anticipate having such an experience. My companion felt there was an issue with the drains. She smelt it too but breathes through her mouth so it didn't affect her as bad as it did me. In the end I couldn't bear to go into the en suite and asked the lady of the house would it be okay if I used their private bathroom because there was a bit of a smell in ours (the understatement of the century). The man of the house did give another couple a lift to the wedding which was a nice bonus and he kindly waited for us to follow. A word of warning, it can be tricky getting a taxi back in the early hours of the morning and it may require quite a wait and a bit of panic. Next morning we had breakfast in the dining room which was nicely decorated. The breakfast was average but filling enough. I had to make my own fruit salad from an apple and orange in a bowl. Despite no yogurt on view the lady of the house kindly made me some plain yogurt, Everything on the fry felt carefully measured out: 2-3 rashers, one sausage, one egg and mushrooms and beans if you wanted it. No extra sausage, no black and white pudding, no tomato, no hash browns. One felt every morsel was accounted for. If you want luxury and modernity this is definitely not the b & b for you. You'd need a strong stomach for it. Neither of us will be returning but thanks anyway for the hospitality.

This B & B is situated on some beautiful country property and the landscaping has lots of flowers, scrubs, trees, and livestock to watch out of your bedroom window. The rooms were beautifully decorated and our hostess, Pauline was one of the nicest and most down-to-earth person that you'd ever want to know. The epitome of Irish hospitality she is. The one thing that stands out in my mind while we were staying there was the day we came back from visiting the Cliffs of Mohr. We went to our bedrooms with thoughts of a taking a nice nap and hear a knock on our door. Who could it be?? It was Pauline with some cookies and 2 beautiful cups of hot cocoa with Bailey's mixed int! Sweetest gesture ever!!! Thank you soo very much for that 'above and beyond' Irish hospitality. The dining table the following morning was set so beautifully with china tea cups and plates. Breakfast was amazing....an array of foods to choose from and all delightful! Thank you so much for treating us so kindly, Pauline. We really enjoyed our stay with you guys and appreciate all you did for us We loved Ireland so much that we've already booked our flight back there this coming May and June. WE planned the trip this time and Holly and Joel are flyin to meet up with us for a few weeks. : ) Unfortunately, we're seeing other parts of Ireland this time around so we won't be staying with you. If we ever did come back to your area though, we'd certainly choose YOU to stay with. Thank you again! Much love from Todd and Donna and Holly and Joel from Phoenix, Arizona

Arrived at Daly’s at the end of our first day in Ireland, a tired and a bit dazed from a long flight and our first hair-raising experiences with left-side driving. This made Pauline and Brian’s warm welcome all the more appreciated. They chatted with us, served us tea, saw to our comfort, and made us a lovely breakfast the next morning. Daly’s is outside the bustle of Navan, in fields full of sheep, making it a quiet spot for a restful night’s sleep. Located about 10 km from the Hill of Tara and 15 km from Newgrange, it’s excellent launching pad for anyone looking to explore the Boyne Valley.

Room was quite small and the private bath was round the corner. Bath was quite old (mint) and the room has seen better days. Bathrobes were provided. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. Pauline and her husband were very friendly and gave us helpful tips. For one night stay it was o.k. But I wouldn't stay for more than one night due to lack of comforts.
