We stayed here years ago and were pleasantly surprised at the improvements. The room we were in was big and beautifully decorated with a lovely big bathroom and a shower you would stay in for hours. The breakfast was top class and freshly prepared (no luke warm buffet here) The bar is lovely, we had lunch and it was great...

5 couples we all stayed in McKevitts village beginning of the month. Absolutely brilliant night. What can I say the hotel staff just couldn't do enough for us. We arrived the 1 ATM machine in carlingford was out of order so we were told don't worry just put your food and drink on the tab we can sort it later....

We were staying in Carlingford for the weekend and McKevitts was recommended to us as the place to go on a Monday night for some live music. We were not disappointed. The girls who worked in the bar were very friendly and efficient. The band playing were absolutely brilliant. It was a fairly quiet night in the bar but that...

I have stayed in the Village Hotel in Carlingford on a few occasions now when I have an early work start in Omeath. Easy to book my stay in advance without fuss. Rooms clean and comfortable and check in and check out very flexible for out of hours. Warm atmosphere and great meals and service downstairs. Very good breakfast- home...

The bar and dining areas are quite small and we have had trouble getting a seat in the past, but in general the place is well worth a visit. The seafood chowder is great and the servers are always pleasant and attentive. I've never stayed here so can't pass remark on the bedrooms, but the restaurant and bar are very...

The breakfast is well served, and the price is very acceptable for the quality of the room and food. I did not try the restaurant, although it has a good reputation. We had a nicely arranged room, without view, but so quiet ! Bathroom with a shower, bed super size (1.8m wide!), super mattresses, everything to enjoy a good rest...

110 euro for a room with what I can only describe a bathroom last decorated in the 1970's! Worse still the bath and shower looked like they where last cleaned at that time also. When I complained at reception the gentleman kindly informed me it was not poor housekeeping but poor plumbing and then never even apologised on the hotels...

I was in McKevitts for lunch today with other family members. As usual we were very well fed and well looked after by the staff. Sometimes the food takes a while to arrive as it is cooked to order and thats ok by me. Its worth waiting for. The desserts are always good and the coffee is better than many...

Lovely small local hotel which is in the heart of a beautiful small town of Carlingford. Booking was made over the phone and the person on reception was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel itself is very centrally located and really nice bar and restaurant. Our room was really lovely and don't think the photos on website did it justice....

Called in for light lunch on a Friday. Restaurant was quiet and there were several members of staff about. We ordered soup of the day which was served with wheaten bread. It was really delicious. Our bowls were abruptly cleared and we tried to order coffee, girl rushed off and didn't even acknowledge our order. I got up and waited...
