Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Would highly recommend this bar and restaurant the food is the best we've ever had in longford , great to bring all the family out and the staff are so friendly and very accommodating with little ones. The price of the meals are very reasonable and the portions are huge and there menu covers for all dietary needs..Fair play to the chefs Sean and Sophie as they keep there menu interesting by regularly updating it , I would highly recommend this restaurant and we don't mind travelling to it as we know the food is worth it and never dissapoints 5 stars all the way..
Thank you for a great Meal guys 👏👏👏👏👍😁

Have stayed here many times and it never dissappoint's. Room's are lovely, everything you need. Peter and staff are more than welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. Food is 5 star....Full Irish breakfast, as much as you can eat, at a time that suits you in the morning.......Peter and staff treat you like family friend's, as do the local's. Great wee pub in a beautiful wee village. Everything is laid back and easy going. A traditional Irish pub. Well worth a visit.

We stayed at Dillons for two nights - Peter made us so welcome and his team could not have looked after us better. The Irish breakfast was great and our room was spacious and spotless. We were lucky enough to be there on a Thursday when the live traditional music made for a great night. Thank you Peter - even though you confessed to being a "Plastic Paddy" you gave us the best of Irish welcomes. If we were ever in the area again we would not hesitate to stay at Dillons.

visited this local pub on a few occasions during my stay, nice owner/manager in peter, who is most amusing, and friendly, along with his staff, good food too, the chicken curry was good, as well as the tempura prawns, and I'm told good Guinness too, however food only available between( thurs-sun!) so be warned, he even put the sky footbal on for me! good lad!

Having recently visited this pub for my brother's 70th birthday party with my family, I was very impressed at the quality of food, the cleanliness and comfort of the facilities, and the kind and helpful management and staff. I would highly recommend it to anybody! Having travelled extensively I found this venue to be excellent and worth a visit. Finally, a big thank you to Peter for the kindness he showed to me and my family and the way that we were looked after.

Stayed for two nights at the end of September.
had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. had grreat fun on a quizz night with the local villagers. made feel very welcome by Peter and everyone. Room we stayed in was first class, very comfortable.
Village has great history and in a great location for visiting the many lakes close by.
Peter was an excellent host. I can definetly say well worth a visit and stop over.

A group of ten of us arrived for an early Sunday lunch. Very relaxed atmosphere, the meal was delivered without delay and everyone considered they had chosen well from the menu though there was a wide variety chosen. Very friendly staff both efficient and attentive. We had a lovely walk afterwards around the village exploring the battlefield 1798. Hearily recommended.

Visited this establishment tonight

All I can say is EQUAL TO ANY, BETTER THAN MANY, AND SECOND TO NONE .
.had steak tonight. Superb. Done to perfection and at 22 euro very reasonable. This includes all the trimmings and it's the 10 oz. An Argentinean malbec , I think it was 26 euros, very well priced when you compare. Owner talkative nut not intrusive and the staff were superb. Pint of smithwicks us 4 . 30. Eat your heart out DUBLIN desert as showm . 7 euro
