Staff were sensational, never experienced service like it whether in Ireland or abroad. Made for such a friendly atmosphere in the hotel generally despite COVID and managing residents and outdoor dining simultaneously. Too many examples to begin to share as every single staff member was just exceptional. Food was fantastic. Room was huge. Grounds and hotel were lovely and the terrace was fab for an evening cocktail. A real treat, will definitely be back and highly recommend!

We stayed here for two nights in room 510. I cannot begin to describe how helpful and friendly the staff were. We ate in the restraunt both nights, my partner ordered the stir fry and had two bites of it and decided he didn't like it 🤦‍♀️. He told the waiter and immediately the meal was removed and replaced with another meal at no extra cost. This is outstanding service and it was no trouble at all for them. The staff went above and beyond at every turn and I can't wait to go back! Hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Excellent hotel. Family run so comfy and quiet. Our twin room was great. Sofa, armchair. So nice. Dinner was in Bar. OMG pate was out of this world, duck mains was the best I ever had. Staff are great, quiet. Loads of parking and so near shops such as the fantastic Newbridge Silver.

Booked an overnight stay which included breakfast and dinner. Check in smooth. Room was very good with a large comfortable bed. Dinner was excellent with a wide variety of choices. Drinks afterwards in a lounge. Breakfast next day was relaxed and hearty. Staff, friendly, courteous and efficient. Altogether a lovely, rewarding experience in these difficult times. Thoroughly recommended.

Recently stayed for one night deal B&B with evening meal. Room was basic but clean and the food was fantastic. Leisure staff very friendly and very helpful. However the roadworks in the town and divertions as a result were a nightmare. 40 mins to get from one end of Newbridge to the other. Had we known it would have made things alot easier. We mentioned this when we arrived and felt the topic was brushed under the carpet. I had a booking for the pool but was nearly too late. There was a mumble about Google maps. When leaving the next day I mentioned it to the reception ladies. A simple email to prewarn about the serious roadworks could have eliminated all the stress and confusion. We were given chapter and verse about it being the counsils responsibility and nothing to do with them. We mentioned perhaps they should sign for their hotel along the divertions but was shut down again, not their responsibility. I realise these roadworks won't go on forever but It was the first weekend opening after lockdown and it was all very new to be getting out. A simple pre warning or an apology would have gone a long way.

Dear Dream661084, Thank you for your review and for your positive comments regarding your stay. With regards roadworks over which we have no control, including adding signage, unfortunately you would have to take the matter up with Kildare County Council. If travelling to the hotel, it is clearly stated on our website (directions page) to take exit 12 off the M7 motorway, after which there are no current roadworks in place. Of course any guest can exit the motorway earlier, but, as you know, there are significant roadworks in the town at present, and it is not advisable. It is frankly surprising that you would base your 3* review on roadworks that are not within the hotel's control and do not affect travel to and from the hotel when travelling the correct route. Your suggestion to email guests beforehand in relation to each guest's own travel plans and route whenever roadworks or any other possible obstacle outside of the hotel's control or responsibility, is simply not feasible, considering the above, and it is up to each guest, as it would anywhere, to take responsibility of their own travel plans. Regards Joe O'Loughlin
