From the start to the finish we were met with kindness and generosity From Liz and Dick. We were in the cabins in the back which was like sleeping in the snuggliest little hideaway in Galway. We will be back ❤️ and would be a great weekend retreat for my extended family and friends ❤️

We hired bikes from Dick and Liz (we were staying elsewhere), we were very impressed with the facilities and ambience so will stay with them next time. The bikes were brand new and top of the range with suspension etc. Cycling around the lake and the forest park was an absolute thrill and suitable for all ages. Dick even gave us a go on his pedal powered four wheeler, the whole family had a blast.

If I could give more stars I would. From the very moment we landed at Podumna we knew we were in for a weekend of laughter (hen party). The host Dick set the tone from the very beginning with his warm and funny welcome. He is one of the most nicest gentleman I have ever met and anything was no trouble! But behind ever great man there is a better woman and that lady is Liz. She made sure everything was to an exceptional high standard. Every element of the package was surberb and I would highly recommend anybody organising a hen party to book immediately as from my experience and the feedback from all the girls on the hen it has been described as the best hen they were ever on.

Where to start, checked in here at 11am on a Sunny Saturday morning for my sisters Hen Party. From start to finish the day, night and into the early morning went flawlessly. From the moment I first contacted Dick about organising my sisters hen it was plain sailing, and with a group of 37 women thats impressive. The pods themselves are super cute. Come with your beds, a little mirror, a heater and charging points for the phone. What more could you want. The bed and bedding was of good quality, spotlessly clean and really comfortable. As part of our package our food was catered for firstly berries and bubbles afternoon tea followed in the evening by pizza, wedges, chips and a selection of really good salads. Both meals were fab, afternoon tea was a very elegant affair with dressed tables and pretty teacups and a wonderful selection of sandwiches, wraps and treats.... Who doesn't love a good pizza party after 2 hours dancing to our own live band. Breakfast was great too, freshly cooked pastries, breads, fresh fruit and a selection of juices and cereals. Proper coffee too and any amount of it!! Decor here is class and quirky. Everything perfectly clean and pretty, it's missing nothing. Hot water bottles and blankets were dished out to us as the evening got chilly.. Nice touch. Would go back here in a heartbeat and will certainly bring my husband and three kids for a visit as Portumna is a beautiful little place. As for our hosts Dick, Liz and their girls, I believe a niece was on hand too, lovely family affair, they are all amazing. Nothing is any trouble or an issue. They even spent the day taking memorable snaps for us which was great. As a bridesmaid I totally got to hand over the reigns relax and enjoy every second of the day too. An absolute car load of drinks, decorations and gift bags were left at Dick and Lizs feet Friday morning, when we arrived back Saturday decorations were up, fridges were filled, balloons even blown up. The place looked impeccable. Will definitely be back to visit the character that is Dick and his wonderful wife. Loved the whole experience.

Spent the night here for a hen party and was thrilled with it. Fantastic venue for a big group as we had the place to ourselves and it was very sociable. From the moment we arrived, the decor and laid back atmosphere made us feel welcome. The communal areas, both indoor and outdoor, were beautifully decorated with lots of quirky details. The layout of the small site is good, with each pod feeling private but all very close to toilet facilities in the main block. The staff were very friendly and attentive, they made a great effort to make sure we had everything we needed. They had helped the bridesmaids plan the whole day& night down to the smallest details, and really made the bride the centre of attention. Lunch was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The live band really got the party going and then the pizza&chips ordered in hit the spot. We had the place to ourselves all evening, with speaker provided so we could play music. Although it was too cold to use the outside area on that particular night, the provision of blankets & hot water bottles would make it very comfortable for most of the season. The pods were comfy and cosy - even though the outside temperature was freezing we were very snug. Had a great night's sleep, with good blackout blinds helping us to sleep late! Breakfast in the morning was great, lots of fresh fruit, bread, scones, croissants and good coffee. Will definitely be returning, it is not just a great party venue but would be a great spot for a family holiday.
