Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went last week with my family and a gang of our friends and families, this place was just fantastic, just a brilliantly relaxing set up pod camping experience. Pods were great, clean and very cosy. Facilities such as toilets, showers and dining area were immaculate, a fantastic communal kitchen that could cater for an entire army. A lovely sheltered outdoor seating area for chilling in the evenings. Campsite is basically in the town centre, but you'd never think it while in the campsite, its so quiet, very handy for getting supplies literally 2 minutes down the road. Portumna is a great little town too, very relaxed and the people are very friendly and down to earth. Lots to see and do nearby, the castle, lake, forest park, this campsite is also a fantastic relaxing base to venture into other places like Galway city, 50 minutes away when we went last Saturday by car. This place is just a really great relaxing fun experience especially for groups that want to book together like we did. The owners are really really lovely people and were very helpful. I can't wait to go back!

I stayed in podumna with my husband & two boys. I could not fault it if I tried. Liz Dick & there lovely daughter could not have been more welcoming & local knowledge hints & tips on where to go & what to do were so helpful. The pod itself was cosy & spotless. The communal kitchen was incredibly well equipped. We got lucky & met 2 other lovely families with kids the same age, toasted marshmallows, swam in the lake went to curleys local pub for trad music & a pint. 2 days was not long enough we will be back & rent the family bikes next time. Loved it!

Just back from a wonderful glamping trip here. We stayed in Pod Almighty which sleeps 5. The beds were very comfy, we slept really well. Fantastic facilities - indoor and outdoor dining spaces available, full access to the kitchen, fridge and cupboard space, plenty of toilets and showers available, it is a home away from home. Run by Liz, Dick, Nessa the loveliest people you could meet and all of this right in the centre of town, a little oasis of tranquility. When you go through the gates its like another world, trees and greenery and a real family friendly festival feel. Could not recommend this place enough for a family getaway. The pods are so pretty, cosy and spacious with a lovely little balcony to take in the sun and the beautiful green outdoor space. Got some wonderful recommendations as well for local spots to visit 😊 Wildes chocolate where we made our own bars, Clonmoylan Aviary, took a scenic spin around Lough Derg. So many little touches from our names on the chalkboard sign, the Pods all named quirkily, even the beautiful rabbit Rabbit de Niro! You are joining a community for the duration of your visit which is not something I have found anywhere else I have stayed. Best trip we've had in a long while that must definitely be repeated.

Incredible stay! Currently here with my husband and two kids and all I can say is WOW! Everything is catered for…. Facilities/ staff / quirkiness- it’s got it all. Liz and Dick are very generous with their time and local knowledge is in abundance with them. I would most definitely recommend a stay here

We went to Podumna Village for a hen and it was the best time! Dick and Liz are so genuine and caring, I felt like I was staying with family 🥰 They also had games planned to keep us laughing all day long. The food was amazing, music, drinks, breakfast, hot showers and beautiful pods, I couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you both so much for such a wonderful weekend, I can't wait to come back ♥️

Had my hen night here in June, 25 girls,I cannot reccomend Poduma enough. From the moment we set foot inside the gates until the time we left these guys had thought of everything. From food to decor to projectors and bands the attention to detail in this beautiful place was just UNREAL💗Both Dick and Liz had a family berevement on the day before we arrived, there professionlism was outstanding and as The bride I was not aware of this until my departure.I honestly cannot thank them enough in there time of grief they still had family there to allow my hen night go ahead without a glitch.I will be forever grateful for the memories we made on my hen and the fun and laughs we had.The activities, The band that poduma provided Acoustic Regin got the night started(these guys were so nice) and An caislean the local pub was electric. If I could of planned my own hen I wouldn't of done as good a job💗Thank you to all the team I would recommend to anyone that is fortunate enough to have come across this hidden gem in beautiful Portumna xxx

Just back from 2 nights in the amazing Pod Umma Village. There are 6 of us, (4 kids & 2 adults). The family pod was soooo clean and comfortable. And beautifully decorated. The hosts Liz & Dick have thought of everything! They are so personable and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The kitchen and dining facilities on site are really well equipped. The town location means you are so close to excellent grocery stores, coffee shops, takeaways etc. We enjoyed exploring the town using the hired bikes. Lots of interesting things locally to see & do! At night, when our younger kids went to sleep, we were able to enjoy a glass of wine sitting immediately outside our pod. It was covered so even the rain wasn’t a problem. And there was the option of sorting ourselves with hot water bottles and blankets so we were very cosy! There is even a book library that you can borrow a book from! A special mention to Jack who works there, he is a really lovely young lad and again looked after us very well, including lighting the fire nightly so the kids could toast marshmallows. From start to finish, everyone couldn’t have been more helpful. This is an excellent glamping experience and we would highly recommend. 💖

Booked Podumna village for my best friends hen party after getting the recommendation from my sister who booked a hen party last year for her friend, I have to say so glad we booked here it couldn't of been a more perfect setting for a hen party. We were welcomed by Dick and Liz into the beautiful grounds and stunning setting for our Hen. The food was amazing and service we got was top notch, we had use of the whole place including 2 large fridges in communal kitchen area and it was just perfect for all us girls to enjoy and have a good time without anyone coming into the grounds. The band that played were amazing and had all of us dancing and having the craic. The pods were amazing, all had comfy beds and nice variety of sizes each with sockets for chargers etc, spotlessly clean, aswell as the toilet facilities. Would highly recommend podumna village not only for a hen party but for a family stay aswell, as they do accommodate for family breaks, will defo be back one day with my family for a break loved it 😊

We went to Podumna for my twin sister's hen party this weekend and we honestly had the best weekend ever. Dick and Liz are very good at what they do. They were so helpful and full of energy and craic. They provided lovely fresh food, fridges and ice for drinks. They hosted a brilliant activity. We were so well looked after, I would recommend for any hen party!
