I am the owner of a tour company and I bring my groups to Ireland on a regular basis. On arrival in Dublin I always book my groups into the 44 on Main St because I and my groups have always been very well looked after. It is a nice, small comfortable hotel with great food and amazing staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff go out of their way to help my guests and they will go above and beyond to make sure that the guests are happy. The manager is very helpful and would do his best to make sure everything is right for everybody. I always recommend this hotel to clients who want to visit Ireland even if they are not on a tour with us, but if I am creating an itinerary for them, I make sure the experience this hotel. Waited for 20 minutes for a seat , was stuck beside the toilets eventually got one beer 15 minutes later tried to get some service for another drink 45 minutes later still no service so left worst bar on planet earth
I have often been to the Fourty Four over the last 4 years, it is in my opinion one of the best and most welcoming place in Swords. Friendly staff, nice food, very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Never been disappointed. Thank you for all you do.
Clean rooms, comfortable beds and a good size rooms. Really great staff, great food and will be back. I had food in the bar a few nights and I had breakfast in the morning and I really enjoyed it. The location is really good too.
We stayed one night at No 44 room 11 and room 6 and it was disappointing to say the least. While we were not expecting luxury, we had hoped for a comfortable and clean room however, this was not the case. Pulling back the bed covers on one bed there were black hard specs on the bottom sheet... the sink and toilet were not clean and the bin had not been emptied. The lamps had twin pin plugs with no adaptors so could not be used. The beds were soft and unsupportive. Had a very brief handing over of the key on arrival, did not see anyone on departure at 9.30 am. Would suggest that a little more attention be given to improve standards.
My wife and I go to the 44 regularly and I have to be very honest and say it is a very well run, safe pub to eat or drink in. The food is very reasonably priced and the new chef is great. Nice food presented and cooked to your liking. The bar staff and lounge staff are very pleasant and the athmosphere is nice and cosy. Genuinely recomend the 44 to everyone its a nice bar and lounge.
Lovely hotel and bar right on the main street of Swords village. Tasty bar food and a really good vibe. They play the piped music loud enough to create and atmosphere but low enough to allow you to actually talk to people, a bit of a novelty at times these days. Decent service and prices, a lively and buzzing place.
Chap that greeted us was very nice and pleasant. Bar is quite nice and seemed like it had a good atmosphere. Good location. Right on the Main Street. We paid a 120 euro for room only and this seems very overpriced for what you get. Room was clean, small but adequate. We stayed in Room 3. Extremely noisy. It’s right over what looks like a huge extractor fan that just made noise the whole night making it near impossible to sleep. The room is over the smoking area so we couldn’t leave the windows open while people where smoking. Room was extremely hot got up at 4 am to turn off radiator but they weren’t on so don’t know where the heat was coming from. Door that leads into the room doesn’t touch the floor and with hard wood floors outside you could hear everything outside on the landing. Shower water handle was all smashed up. …
Stayed here often when I was on business in Swords and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The food was always top drawer, as was the service and the folk who worked in the bar. The rooms were nice and clean and warm. Maybe a bit on the 'unspectacular' side but they were everything that you would expect at the price. Which was very reasonable. Really great location too right in the middle of Swords. Having stayed in many different hotels and bed and breakfasts in Swords, if I was to be there again the forty four would be the first place I'd call.
We called here on a busy Saturday night. There was no problem having food here even though it was busy. The staff were friendly and both the burger and chicken wrap were very good and well presented. We would have no hesitation in recommending this place.
