My sister and I stayed here while visiting Dublin and it was a great location! The bus is a 30-40 minute ride into the city center, so you save a ton on parking and taxi fare. The couple who owns the BNB are super friendly and keep the place really clean. I would highly recommend!
Anna and Michael were great hosts! Anna provided us with a recommendation for dinner that evening and it was within walking distance! Very close to town center and located perfectly to get to Dublin airport!
Stay here on your last night, it's then SUPER quick to get to the airport the next morning! We had a very short but very comfortable stay; Anna and Mike are so friendly! They made sure our TVs were tuned to the Women's World Cup USA v. England, which we dearly wanted to watch. Then we woke up at the crack of dawn for our flight, grabbed bananas and coffee on our way out. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to stay here!
We stayed at San Augustine for only one night as we needed to be in the area of the airport to catch an early flight out. We were very pleased. Anna, the owner, greeted us upon arrival. She gave us information on the Inn and took us to our room. The room was on the second floor, had a queen and twin bed with tv and ensuite bathroom. Very comfortable mattresses and plush bedding. Most comfortable beds I've ever had in a B&B! A full breakfast was available from 8-10 AM but we left around 6:00 so I cannot comment on that. Restaurants are nearby and it's a quick walk to the town center. There is a small area for parking, about three cars, but also street parking. The location was perfect for getting to the airport quickly and easily.
A wonderful B&B quite close to Dublin. Walking distance to the castle and the local pubs. Nice clean rooms, lovely backyard. Thank you Anna for the recommendation of the Old Schoolhouse pub. For our last night in Ireland, it was simply the best!
I absolutely loved staying at San Augustine Bed and Breakfast. Mrs and Mr Walsh could not be more kind. The breakfast service was probably my favorite part. Eggs cooked as you like, with a fresh french press coffee brought to you. This experience was probably the most authentic Irish experience I had the entire trip!
Can't be better situated to get to or from the Dublin airport than at this B&B. Our room had a lovely view of the Round Tower, overlooking the main road with a bit of street noise. Bathrooms are tiny but well-equipped. Noise travels easily between the rooms but quieted down at 11pm. Enjoy a classic Irish breakfast here!
Our 3-night stay here was perfect for exploring the charming town of Swords and the castle ruins as well as convenient access to Dublin. Anna was the perfect hostess, treating us each morning with a home-cooked breakfast and the best coffee ever!! Plus, the family photos in the dining room made us feel like we were visiting relatives! Thank you Anna for a truly pleasurable experience! Judi & Kat
We stayed at San Augustine for two nights and cannot say enough about our wonderful hosts, Mike and Anna. They were just lovely! From the moment we stepped into their home we felt like family. When we told Anna we planned to take the bus into the city rather than drive she provided us with Leap Cards (with cash already on them another guest had left her). This resulted in us saving €17! She provided us with a detailed map of the area to help us get to and from the city for our two days in Dublin. Breakfast was wonderful. Coffee was strong. The rooms were spotless and water pressure was great even with the current water shortage in the city. Anna was also very accommodating in swapping our room when a larger one became available the second night. Overall a fantastic stay. Even though Swords is a bit outside the city center, I would not hesitate to stay at San Augustine again. Highly recommended!…
This is a nice, comfortable and clean B&B situated close to the airport and a short drive from Dublin. This is a great first stop or last stop when traveling to Ireland. Our host, Anna Walsh, was pleasant and very helpful with advice on when to depart for the airport, a great restaurant for our last night in Ireland and even helped us locate a piece of extra luggage for all of the souvenirs we picked up. You won't be disappointed.
