Room - We got a deluxe double room facing the sea, the room was very spacious, we had a nice area by the window to sit, relax and take in the view and the bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom - Bathroom had all we would need, toilet, bath, shower, sink and shower accessories. The bathroom was a tad bit outdated...

We did not stay as residents but we did visit The Sandhouse 3 times during our stay in the area. We arrived in Rossnowlagh on Sunday afternoon September 6 and we had pre booked dinner in their restaurant. To be frank we were not expecting too much. We knew the hotel had been in serious trouble about 4 years ago...

There is no doubt the hotel's biggest asset is the stunning beach side location. This helped divert our attention from the very dated room. This hotel is in desperate need of an update. The dining area was to die for, perfect view to start the day off in the morning. Staff very friendly.

I cannot say enough about this hotel. The hotel was very regal yet with the great surfing it had a really mixed vibe. Almost upscale but still laid back at the same time. My kids really enjoyed their time here. Great location for surfing and the Finn McCool’s surf shop across the street was so helpful and great. We had...

Returned to Sandhouse Hotel (2015) after the take over a few years ago! It has certainly improved ten fold since our last visit! The sea view from the top floor room is second to none! A calm elegant room with a lovely bay window and comfortable sofa to soak in the million dollar view! I really love this hotel and...

We stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of Donegal. Had booked a deluxe sea view room. The view was amazing and the room spacious. I did however expect on booking the most expensive room type to have an updated bathroom. This one was positively antique. The hotel is quirky with lots of nooks and crannies to sit in...

We stayed here for 3 nights in August and had a thoroughly lovely time, apart from the hideous weather! Our room was big and had awesome sea views. The location, right on the beach is one of the best aspects of the hotel. The restaurant also has great sea views. The menu was extensive and the food was excellent, the...

I can't find fault with the Sandhouse. The staff are exceptional and will go the extra mile to do whatever they can for you. The beach is stunning, the views are amazing. The hotel is traditionally decorated and it adds to the charm. The spa is superb and the staff are fantastic. Food is delicious and service is brilliant. It's...
