Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hostel cancelled our reservation a few days before arrival due to "overbooking" Luckily we found another option or we would have been left out in the rain. Don't support greedy businesses that overbooking in an attempt to maximize profits.

Amazing hostel! We stayed for 2 nights end of August, everything was perfect, amazing showers, better than any hotel I've stayed in, rooms are spotless clean. We booked for 2 adults and 1 child and got lucky with a 9 bunk room, my daughter loved it so I would definitely recommend for kids or groups that are going to Donegal for surf camps etc. Jack was a great host, we arrived late and he was very accommodating and we had a gorgeous fry in the B&B next door the next morning. Everything is on your doorstep in Dungloe, beach, shops, lovely pubs and 3 supermarkets, definitely a spot to stay in if you are travelling in that area. We will definitely be back!

We’re touring the WAW on motorcycles and we booked into the Wild Atlantic Hostel for a night. We gotta say the service was 100 % the staff were amazing, friendly and most helpful. Thanks to Margaret and Jack for taking care of us. We had a fantastic time and I would definitely recommend the Wild Atlantic Hostel. Highly recommend a full breakfast from Jack at the B&B next door. The best breakfast we’ve had all week. If you’re in the area check the Wild Atlantic Hostel out ! You won’t be disappointed.

This is a great choice to stop off along the Wild Atlantic Way! Jack is such a great host (and an amazing cook)! The breakfast alone is worth a stop! The room's are comfortable and equipped with all you need. The location is perfect and there is easy parking right next to the hotel itself. There is a lovely walking trail that starts by the hostel and also some beautiful views over the sea. All amenities are nearby (LIDL, pubs etc). I really recommend this place for backpackers, road trippers and those just fancy a rest!

Modern, affordable place to stay. Common areas are very well equipped, with more amenities than you'd expect for the price. Well kept and clean, and hosted by friendly people. Can't recommend it enough!

Had a lovely stay in Donegal Wild Atlantic Hostel. The rooms were very clean , comfortable and quiet with a great kitchen and relaxing/eating area . The staff are super friendly and always willing to help with local facilities etc. The hostel is very well located only a short walk to town with it’s abundance of pub/restaurants and shops. It’s also only a short drive to the Seven Sisters mountains and national park.
