Great location, comfortable room and very helpful staff. For example, a young lady named Tracey was so helpful to meet our dietary needs (vegetarians), and always had a smile with our queries, as had other staff as well

I have just returned from a week in Donegal. We stayed at the Waterfront for 4 nights and we had the most wonderful timel. The hotel was perfect for our trip - in every way. The location needs to be seen to be believed and the view from the bar/restaurant is mesmerizing. I'm already having withdrawal symptoms. Our room was v comfortable, the breakfast outstanding (despite the restaurant being v busy) and the hotel Manager Martina and all the staff were terrific. There is a gym attached to the hotel called Innis and my husband managed to squeeze in a session whilst we were there and was very impressed! We didn't realise when we booked it was Festival week and the Mary from Dungloe was on so the hotel and town was buzzing... this didn't impact on the service and attention to detail .. it was all spot on. Worth noting that there is a beautiful private room on the 2nd floor with a roof terrace overlooking the bay that is perfect for a private dinner party, wedding or any special occasion and we were fortunate to experience it on one of the hottest days of the year. So if you were visiting as a large group and wanted the space and wow factor then you would be very very happy with what is on offer. There is also a children's play area outside to keep the little ones entertained. The hotel is perfectly located to visit all the Donegal beaches, Mount Errigal, and Glenveah National park... it's also a short drive to catch the ferry to Arranmore Island which is most definitely worth visiting. I will be back to the Dungloe again soon I hope and wouldn't want to stay anywhere other than The Waterfront Hotel.

Stayed here for a recent wedding. Beautiful setting and plenty of car parking. Room was really nice and modern, comfy and clean. Can’t fault room but food and overall customer service on the day was quite poor. Seem short staffed or have other issues going on.

Liked · Very central to many attractions in the area. The hotel looks over the bay, which, on a sunny day looks great and close enough to walk into the town. The breakfast was very tasty and substantial with very friendly staff from waiting, reception to cleaning. The rooms were very clean, modern and calming decor. Even with a wedding reception taking place, though loud in the bar, there was little noise in the bedroom.

Just back from a fabulous overnight stay in the Waterfront hotel Dungloe. The hotel is well appointed with great sea views and is well located when it comes to accessing the town and Burton port for the ferry to Aranmore island. Staff are very friendly and attentive, going that extra mile to help and assist. We ate Dinner and breakfast there and they were both splendid. Food was great. We loved the decor very tastefully done and in keeping with its location. Recommended.

We stayed in Dungloe for the bank holiday weekend and thought we could order food and drink only to be told that there was a wedding on that Sunday and food could not be served in the bar or restaurant despite there being about 10 people in the bar. The young bar staff were most unhelpful. Very disappointed for a bank holiday weekend

We stayed here at weekend booked last minute first time to stay. When we arrived receptionist checked us on no problem very friendly and efficient. Hotel was beautiful and clean room on small side but didn't mind it had everything we needed and again clean. We didn't eat in hotel but I'm sure food lovely there was a few in bar but not very busy. Breakfast next morning was nice everything was ordered and taken to table although it was on cold side could have been warmer - I ordered everything gluten free and nothing was any trouble. Overall a lovely night away and I would definitely return.

Lunch looked great but wasn't warm. Sent it back but no improvement. It should be easy to keep the food hot until lunches finished. Waiters were apologetic but it was a chefing problem. Wouldn't recommend

The exterior of this hotel is not impressive but once you get inside that changes totally. Staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Room was very nice if a little small but with a lovely view. I would go to Donegal just to stay in this hotel. Access to the gym is a nice add on and staff there were very nice too. I would go back there.
