Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I travelled to the Waterfront Hotel on the weekend of 12 January for a family funeral. The hotel is fabulous! Particular highlights: - The staff. Every member of staff that I encountered was amazing, so friendly and helpful. - The breakfast is outstanding, you would be hard stretched to find a more generous offering. All freshly prepared, a fantastic variety on offer. - The rooms are warm, clean and very fresh. Perfectly equipped with everything you need. - The hotel is warm and welcoming, with lovely communal areas. - The location. Amazing views, centrally located for easy access to the many opportunities available to explore in the region. A fabulous hotel that I would definitely recommend to other travellers. I will be returning!

We had made a last minute booking due to family bereavement. The hotel staff were amazing throughout our stay. We had booked a twin room, excellent condition. Very nicely decorated with beautiful bathroom. The views over the bay were amazing and great location.

The room was very small and the bedside lamps were in poor condition. The bathroom was tiny. The beds were comfortable and we had a lovely balcony with nice view (though the weather wasn't great). We stayed one night on New Year's Eve and we ate dinner in the bar area. The food was quite good and there were ample vegetarian and vegan options. The service was terrible and very poorly organised. Some of the staff were not particularly pleasant and one even complained to us about being busy. Breakfast was good. We would consider staying here again, however we did not feel we got value for money.

Stayed here for 3 nights in October. Staff were so friendly. I had mentioned it was the better half’s significant birthday and they arranged a lovely desert plate in our room on arrival which was a lovely touch. We had treated ourselves to a suite and it was so big and had everything you could want really happy with it and the bed was so comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel 2 nights and the food was delicious and I just loved the twist on their cocktails they were delicious. Couldn’t fault the breakfast they had everything covered and it was delicious. I loved that they supported local produce and the staff were very knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough to help.

Last month I attended a family wedding, great venue for a wedding. Martina the manager went above and beyond to make the wedding a special day for the happy couple. Service throughout the day was brilliant. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Was at a family wedding, food was ok but function hall was freezing. Later in the evening there was a row between a 5 foot 6 inch tall drunk man and a 6 foot 1 man and his 6 foot 4 pal, they proceeded to strangle and batter the living daylights out of this drunk man and when it was broke up all the hotel management done was order the drunk man to his toom when it was evident he needed medical assistance. No Ambulance or Gaurds called even though it turned out that this man had a dislocated jaw and shoulder, multiple bruises al over his body, some caused by strangulation.

13 of us where here for a meal. Getting elderly family together (maybe for the last time due to where everyone stays). So a very important gathering for us. It was busy …no empty tables. But this did not affect the service. Staff were very attentive and prompt with their service. Food was lovely! Everyone enjoyed their choice of meal! A very warm and friendly atmosphere. And the view from the front of the hotel was stunning. This is definitely the hotel you want to visit!

Visited the Sunday carvery with my 3 year old grandson. First and foremost the food was delicious a 4 course meal including a very well cooked carvery for less than. 30 euros with no charge for the little one. The dining room is spacious and well appointed, plenty of car parking but what made the afternoon special apart from the food was the very helpful and attentive staff. Hot starter followed by a cold buffet, hot carvery main and finishing with a wonderful dessert buffet which included a chocolate fountain. Help yourself to tea and coffee and drinks available to buy from a well stocked bar. I cannot praise the experience more highly
