Have stayed a good few times same room all the time the tara suite, fantastic. One big disappointment was no disability access which was a big problem for us having to go up steps, secondly only hand sanitizer was on entry to the hotel none near the lift or bar/restaurant none on tables. When we arrived to our room no milk 1 cup no coffee no glasses in the bathroom and 2 towels. To add to our disappointment service was so slow, when eventually ordered food was very quick to appear but when finished we actually had to ask for our plates to be taken away. If you decide to stay here bring your own hand sanitizer and would also recommend you get room service for your breakfast extra cost but more choice. Would I stay here again after so many visits no.
Went the Tara hotel killybegs, plenty off buzz around killybegs, sat outside under a parasol enjoying the tourist atmosphere, ordered our food and drink, prices for food a tad pricey but its our usual Sunday go somewhere different day out, fish and chips, well fish could iff been bigger but was tasty but the chips were over cooked and half off my small portion was what could only be described as the scraping left in the frying basket that had been cooked more than once very disappointing for a nice hotel like the tara that we have been too a few times over the years, our first time to be disappointed i did say to the waiter when he came to clear the table that chips were hard and over cooked i did leave all the burnt chips on the plate he looked at the and said " are they" we skipped coffees and dessert paid and left....…
Ate here with my two friends, food was good but service was dreadful. Firstly our food order was wrong and were left waiting over 40 minutes before we got the corrected order. Ordered drinks which never came and after reminding the staff only 2 out of the 3 were delivered. The table was never cleared and we were left feeling very in looked after. Would not recommend the money! Also no sanitiser, contact details or proof of vaccination card were asked for.
Had a great stay at the Tara Hotel, food was excellent for Dinner and breakfast, with very friendly and helpful staff. Only element to improve is the toilet situation. A communal key card was required to open the toilets from the bar and restaurant - although the staff wipe these cards down after use, a more hygienic system is required
We are just home from a lovely stay at this hotel. The food and service were great. A special mention to Shelia our server who was very welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be back next time and hopefully all the covid19 restrictions will be lifted however this hotel has adapted well.😄
