Stayed two night, in two different rooms. The ensuite room we had booked for the first night was not available (we think because the family had come to stay). We got an ensuite the second night, but the shower was broken, so we kind-of didn't. But the welcome and the breakfast were both excellent, and lots of parking available. Not really walking distance from Killybegs, which was a bit of a shame. Bottom line - got through the two nights with no great drama but we won't be going back.
Myself & my wife recently stayed in the Hollycrest Lodge and found it to be a very pleasant experience and very reasonable. It was ideally located for us to explore the nearby and highly impressive Sliabh Liagh cliffs and also ideal for an evening's fun in Killybegs itself. The house is very nice, the breakfast was delicious and I found the host Ann & her husband to be very friendly and also very helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B.
Stayed there for one night and it was very comfortable. I had a nice room and the breakfast was delicious. You could get so many things and everything was freshly cooked! There were many nice places around and it's a good place to stay and explore. Thank's Ann!
My husband & I stayed for 2 nights in Holly Crest, we had a lovely time, accomadation, breakfast and service were great. Especially enjoyed Ann's lovely pancakes. Would definitely recommend . Good base to see local attractions such as Slieve League cliffs
I reserved 2 rooms at Holly Crest before I traveled overseas with some friends and, via email, Ann said she would hold the rooms for us without any problem. We called the day of arrival to let her know we were on our way and she said she almost gave our rooms away. We asked her to please not give our rooms away, as we are on our way and when we got there, she was immediately insulting and rather rude with a tight face of an angry woman, because apparently we didn't contact her in the time frame that she was expecting. The next morning, she immediately berated me for washing a few things out in the sink and hanging them up to dry. Then, she did not serve us a Full Irish Breakfast, as I have had in every single Irish and English B&B I have ever stayed in. She laid out a continental breakfast instead, when I had just seen the people before us having a Full Irish Breakfast. She said she had given us a cheaper price, but she never mentioned that to us to warn us of the change. Our stay here was the worst in the history of my travels, which is very extensive.…
