We stayed in The Ritz last weekend and I was really impressed. We were in a triple room and it was a good size. The smart television was a surprise and we were able to log into our netflix account to watch a film. We didn't use the common areas ( sitting room with board games and dining area) but they looked clean and fresh. Unfortunately we had to leave early so didn't try breakfast out either. We had to leave a day early for personal reasons and they kindly didn't charge us for the second night. The Ritz was very central and it was so close to the marina. Overall,it was a very friendly spot and we will definitely be back.
Although this is budget accommodation, we could not fault it, impeccably clean, lovely comfy beds and a do it yourself breakfast provided, good selection of cereals, bread, jams, marmalades, yoghurts and fresh fruit. Coffee was excellent and staff were lovely too.
Very comfortable room with clean shower en-suite. Plenty of space to store your clothes. Very good self service breakfast with the icing being able to make real coffee in a cafetière Amble parking nearby and good location for those wishing to explore South Donegal
The lady who checked us in was absolutely lovely and we had a nice chat with her. We stayed at Ritz Accommodation in 2018 and liked it and wanted to come back. The room was spacious and clean, I liked the shower as it prevents wasting water. The hotel is very well situated in the centre of Killybegs, closed to all bars and restaurant and close to the sea also. The breakfast is self service, there is a good choice and wipes are provided. Happy with our stay once again and can't wait to be back :) Thanks a million !
I booked this for myself and my mum who has alot of mobility issues. I rang directly to book so I could ask about accessibility. Clare was very helpful and we booked the accessible room and adjoining room for myself. Everything worked out really well. Could access the accomodation via a side door, this is on a hill but you can drive right to the door, once in, there are no steps and the room is very close to this access point. Everything was spotless and beds very comfortable. No issues with accessible bathroom either. Clare kindly gave us some lovely scones when we arrived and the following day. The kitchen is very well set up with everything you could need. We got lovely takeaway dinners from the boathouse restaurant. Highly recommend and worth checking out. Great base to tour the area and we will definitely be back to see more. Everyone very friendly and helpful.…
Great location, close to The Seamanship Centre and pretty much everything in Killybegs. Parking out the back, very clean rooms and very clean dining area - felt very safe and secure during Covid and would certainly be back again. Very handy to have a full kitchen available to save on getting restaurant/takeaway every night!
Great value. For reference, we stayed in Room 1. This reminded us of travels in Ireland in the 70s and 80s. Shared TV lounge with books, DVDs and comfy chairs. Genuine welcome from reception (in contrast to Tara Hotel across the road). Free breakfast with plenty on offer in the self-service dining room. Spotless room, comby bed, plenty of space and storage (unlike a recent stay at twice the price in an Ibis at terminal 3 Heathrow). Plenty of Covid security. Kitchen available for making tea/coffee or self-catering.
We have just had the most magical 4 days in Killybegs, staying at The Ritz accomodation. Clare and her team are so welcoming and accomodating and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are immaculate, got everything you need, fresh towels and beds made everyday and the communal kitchen and living area/games room is perfect as you can come and go as you please.Price includes a continental breakfast too!!! The kids loved the puzzles etc in the games area. Its such a reasonably priced hotel/self catering, in prime location right in the town centre and the next time we stay in Killybegs as a family with the kids or adult only breakaway, we will defo stay with Clare, her husband Charlie and their amazing team. Would defo recommend this place if you are visiting Killybegs!!!
I can't recommend The Ritz more! We stayed here for 2 nights and from the moment we arrived we were welcomed with open arms. Clare the owner is an amazing host, making everyone feel welcome, chatting to her guests and making time for them. Rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast was serve yourself which was great! We had the best time and will definitely be back. Thank you Clare!!
