Well recommended. Lovely stay, very friendly staff Abbie and Suzanne at reception were very helpful. Meal quality for dinner and breakfast good quality.I had the featherblade beef very tender and Bombe Alaska very tasty and enjoyable. Room was tastefully decorated, clean, relaxing and spacious. Everything about this hotel just gave us a feeling of being just Off very good. Arriving from the N25 towards Glanmire the hotel entrance is on the left to get to it you have to veer across the oncoming lane to do a U turn back on yourself. That was number one? Very dangerous. The grounds looked good and the hotel is well set. Reception very nice ,and friendly, our room was very nice and spacious, however small items were missing shower caps, hotel details of times etc the usual info, one of the 2 radiators turned off ,as we said at the beginning just a little off. Bar area very pleasant and spacious, the staff lacked any engagement but were pleasant. We eat in the restaurant it was part of the overnight package. The food was well cooked , small things again just off but the chef obviously was very good and we enjoyed what we had , we felt the menu was far to big , trying to cover all bases. It would be better shortened and more attention given to the finess of those dishes .A special mention to the cream brulee, although again the short bread biscuits were not quite right (finess). Service was somewhat chaotic, but we put that down to perhaps being new staff. Breakfast was better all round very good selection of both continental and freshly cooked menu items all of which were good. Just to finish this is to me a example that just made us think things seemed off only abit. We had pre booked our dinner for 7.30 but turned up early at 7 and asked if we were ok to eat ? The lady took a while looking through her list and tablet and said yes. Fine . The funny thing was that the dinning area had about between 40 to 60 or more covers, Us 2 along with probably no more than a dozen others were in the dinning room until we left. What was the manager looking for surely as the restaurant manager she would know how busy she was, how many were booked or how many in the hotel likely to pop in. Strange. Anyway we would not stop anyone from coming here it is a lovely hotel and overall excellent value for money .I know my review will come over as a bit (we know the type ) but as we lucky to visit many hotels and restaurants world wide, and it is only our intention to pass on to you and to the places we stay and eat our comparison of standards in and effort to Improve to which most wish to, "our opinions are just that Opinions. …

Last minute booking on two occasions in the last two weeks. Staff couldn’t of been nicer. A special Thank you to Abbie at reception, she was so kind, helpful and just over all pleasant. Rooms were super, in the new part of hotel. Only downfall was lunch was expensive and toasted sandwich was poor quality. Bar in the evening was lovely decorated.

Wow. Just home after an amazing family wedding in this beautiful hotel. This hotel is truly special. The attention to detail Is incredible. The staff literally went over and above our expectations from the moment we arrived onsite. The setting is stunning . The glass room where one of the receptions was held was so chic & sophisticated, my parents and I loved this space, it allowed us precious family time . The wedding meal was superb, as a pescatarian I can honestly say the fish was the best I have ever had at a wedding meal. The rooms are fabulous, the beds are extremely comfortable and the decor is tres chic. Breakfast after the wedding was excellent also , I had the smoked salmon & some delicious blue cheese from the buffet….. and the brown bread…. Wow! Resting on its laurels and beautiful location. No hot water in the shower, for breakfast we were advised to order a "Just Eat" and treated like child when asked for another room key. Rough staff who were rude - a little kindness goes a long way folks.

We sincerely apologise for the inconveniences you experienced during your visit. However, in the interest of the Trip Advisor community it is important to explain the background to some of your observations. As we work towards sustainability, we have taken proactive steps to reduce our carbon footprint. Our Green Policy on our website outlines the practices that we have taken as we continue our work towards a greener future. As you will see from the link included above our website explains our rationale for issuing 1 guest room Key Card. By issuing 1 Key-card it negates the possibility of burning energy when a guestroom is not occupied, on occasion when we are asked for additional Key Cards, which is not a difficulty, we use this request as an opportunity to explain our policy. The absolute majority of our guests understand this policy and in fact many guests commend this practice as a proactive and necessary one, particularly when climate change is such an existential threat to humanity. Again, with reference to our sustainability journey, we have recently completed the installation of Heat Pumps to provide hot water to the hotel. When using hotel facilities such as showers and hot water taps it is important to allow the water to run for a short while when turned on to be become hot, additionally as showers are operated by adjustable temperature mixers sometimes the mixer can be turned to cool. Considering your comments, we will endeavour to communicate the operating instructions for guests with the view to placing notifications in guest rooms and including this information on confirmation letters. As a team at the hotel, it is absolutely not our intention to make our guests feel uncomfortable, however all businesses now have a responsibility to educate our customers on actions to promote a green and sustainable society. We are sorry to hear that you did not receive the level of service that we strive to provide. This is not our usual standards, and not the norm which we can attest to, given the majority of reviews about our team are positive and complimentary. However, as part of our continuous training programme we will address your comments with our team as there is always an opportunity to learn. Thank you sincerely for your feedback, we hope you consider affording us another opportunity in the future when visiting Cork City in an effort to provide you with a more enjoyable and hospitable experience. Smart, comfortable and clean hotel just a short drive out of the centre of Cork. Our en-suite room had a KS and single bed. It was a bit noisy during the early hours of the morning. Other guests walking to their rooms and one lady trying to wake her partner up to let her in. Their had been a wedding the previous evening, so obviously a lot of guests were staying at the hotel. There was comfortable sitting areas near the bar where you could have a drink or catch up with friends. Nicely decorated. The beds were really comfortable. Lovely and clean. There is currently work going on at the hotel but this did not disturb us. Plenty of parking.

We recently had our intimate wedding at Vienna Woods. We are so happy we chose Vienna Woods. They accommodated for our small wedding, and went above and beyond. The bridal suite is gorgeous and all the staff are really helpful and friendly. We especially want to thank Melissa at Vienna Woods who helped us plan the whole wedding from the UK. She was a great help from start to finish! Attended a wedding recently. Lovely hotel. Staff were brilliant. Floor manager put everyone at ease. No rushing around. Probably the best food I've had in ages considering there was a large crowd so top marks to all in the kitchen. Unseen heroes. Would highly recommend this venue. Well done to all.
