Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was travelling in the Cork area and booked into the Glenwood House. Hotel standard accommodation, great food and a great place to stay should you be on business or pleasure. The Hosts Noelle and Adrian make the stay so memorable and are there to help with all your travel needs or information on the local area.
A must stay if you are in the area.

So convenient to Cork City and Kinsale, this lovely guesthouse is a great home away from home for travellers. Wonderful and welcoming host with helpful local information, great breakfast and very peaceful and restful room with a serene mature garden outside the window. We definitely recommend this place and look forward to going back next time we travel to Ireland. Thank you, Adrian, for everything!.

I recently had the pleasure of staying there for 2 weeks while on a course.

Great guesthouse with all the comforts of home.

Great breakfast with homemade yoghurt and berry compote as well as the full Irish.
Excellent porridge made in individual portions on demand.

However, what makes the Glenwood stand out is the friendly welcome from Adrian and Noelle.
Nothing is too much trouble for them. A warm welcome every morning and evening.

Great local knowledge.
Good wi-fi.

Would not stay anywhere else if in the area.

I was recently on a short trip to Carrigaline. The original place I stayed in overbooked rooms so I ended up having to find somewhere there and then. Spoke to Adrian and he couldn't do enough for me. He had a room available which was spotless, comfortable, quiet and cosy. Breakfast was prepared especially and was perfect. I ended up being delighted the the original place had made a mess of things or else I wouldn't have found this gem. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

I have been at Glenwood for two weeks. I had classes in Cork Language Institute only in the morning, so most of the days I stayed at the hotel studying and working during the afternoon. It's very quite, Adrian and his wife help you in anything you need.
Breakfasts are delicious, with home made yaourt, jam, scramble eggs, ...
They have made me feel really at home.
thank you very much and hasta pronto!

If you are staying in Carrigaline or even near Cork and don't stay at Glenwood House, you are simply cheating yourself. The proprietor Adrien is the kindest, most helpful and accommodating man I've ever met. My friend and I were genuinely sad to be leaving at the end of the week, and I'm certain we will be back.

A few friends and I were in town to do an intense yoga training. It involved staying up late, getting up early, and homework. Adrien let us set up in the lounge at night to do our work and would come in and check on us to see how we were doing if we were still working at the wee hours of the morning. He let me email my homework to him so he could print it out for me totally free of charge. Since we were getting a lot of take - away to eat while working, we were able to use the dishes and silverware from the kitchen too.

The breakfast was AMAZING. Truly. I'm not kidding. Most of it is homemade and locally sourced - homemade yogurt, rhubarb fruit sauce to go on top, bread, muesli. He makes your eggs and bacon to order whenever you want it. Unlimited tea and coffee.

More than anything, Adrien is smart, friendly, and genuinely interested in getting to know his guests. Over the week I was there we had many conversations about myriad things. He and his wife are the epitome of "there are no strangers, only friends you haven't met yet".

I never write reviews - I joined only so I could write one for Adrien and Noelle and the Glenwood House. My time there was that good. Look at all of the other amazing reviews from other people if you're not convinced yet!!
