Just returned from a short break at this hotel and enjoyed every moment. Received a very warm welcome from Eoghan on arrival and this set the tone of the weekend. Our room was really lovely...views are amazing. We dined in the restaurant on two evenings and dinner was exceptional on both. Our servers were so pleasant & attentive...indeed all staff we encountered were exactly what any hotel guest hopes to meet...welcoming, friendly & efficent. The hotel is complying with all Covid guidelines regarding sanitization, wearing of visors/masks by all staff etc and the entire hotel was spotless with public areas allowing plenty of social distancing. All in all, it was our first visit to the Bayview but we will certainly return...a very relaxing & most enjoyable stay
Jusy arrived home from a wonderful day in east Cork. On a whim decided to take our new puppy for a spin and arrived in Ballycotton mid morning. As my husband and I strolled along the beautiful Ballycotton village we came across this gem of a hotel. I popped into the reception where I met Eoghan. This gentleman genuinely comes across as loving his position in hospitality. I enquired as to availability to a lunch reservation explaining I had a dog with me......"No problem'!! We took some coffees the terrace and enjoyed the spectacular views of the bay, the fisherman on the pier and people enjoying themselves jumping from the pier!!! We returned from a short walk to a nearby beach to take our table, again on the terrace where my husband enjoyed pan fried cod and I had a perfectly cooked steak, our order taken by Eoghan. Our server was a lovely blonde girl (I apologise I didn't get her name) who was also very attentive and friendly. I look forward to booking some time this wonderful hotel for what I expect would be an amazing break!! Thank you Eoghan and all the staff.…
Just returned from a lovely two days at this hotel. Got lucky with the weather so we had two sun drenched days to explore East Cork. The views are simply sublime from this hotel. It’s like being in Italy sitting at a terrace table with the stunning views over Ballycotton bay and lighthouse. The staff are wonderful here. All Covid precautions in place and taken very seriously. Priority of the shared open spaces given to guests with pre booking for dinner and breakfasts. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped and all with the stunning views. Had two delicious dinners in the hotel restaurant. Good location for touring the area. Thanks to Eoghan and Eimear for the warm welcome and to all the staff working so hard in difficult times to make sure the guests really enjoy their stay. We truly had a great break!…
Just home from a brilliant week in the Bayview. My favourite place to go in Ireland. The food was delicious. Eoghan & the staff were all top notch, so friendly & professional. But I have to make special mention to Isaac & Maria. They went above & beyond for our whole family. We can’t thank you enough. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves & cant wait to go back next year already.
I absolutely LOVED this hotel! I took a small Stay-cation with 2 friends once the Covid restrictions were lifted, we found this hotel online and booked due to the good pricing, we honestly didn't expect the hotel to be so good. The views the hotel has are breath taking, waking up every morning to that view was the highlight of our day. It was also so peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed evening drinks on the terrace and it was perfect. The staff went above and beyond and nothing was ever a hassle. We arrived Friday evening after half 8 and the kitchen had been closed, reception rang around local takeaways for us to see if anyone was still open, they weren't so instead she was able to organise for the kitchen to make us Ham Sandwiches, we expected just ham thrown on some bread but no, they were hands down the best ham sandwiches I've ever had - honestly I didn't think I could like a sandwich so much! Ha! We only had dinner in the restaurant on our last evening, we regretting not going sooner because the food - like everything else - was amazing. I had the chicken dish with gnocchi , I was skeptical at first because there was no sauce on the dish and I hate nothing more than a dry dinner, but the chick was so juicy and the dish had the perfect mix of veg, I didn't even miss any sauce and it wasn't dry in the slightest, My friends both had the steak and they loved it. It was one of my friends birthday and reception was able to organised with the kitchen to write a Happy Birthday message and add a candle to her dessert! As for the room its self I've no complaints! It was a decent size - Triple room 1 Queen bed and 1 Single, the only thing missing from our room was a tea station but there was an empty space for this so I think it was just removed for Health and Safety reasons for Covid which is completely understandable and smart - shows they took every precaution for guests! The beds were so comfortable it was hard to get out of them in the morning! The shower also had amazing water pressure!!!! Wifi was good, didn't have any issues All in all our stay was perfect, I couldn't fault it! (I studied Hotel Management in college so I can be very critical of hotels!) I will definitely be returning! PS. Ballycotton as a location itself doesn't have tonnes to do but its only a 30min drive to Cobh which has tonnes! even when returning I'd choose to stay here and drive the extra few miles!…
