This hotel is in the middle of most attractions in golden circle, close to everything around and they had nice fireworks for new year. Great staff very sweet people. Don't miss Fontana Spa close by and the secret lagoon.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Grimsborgir in early January 2017 and had an unpleasant experience. As I checked in the older front desk lady seemed like I bothered her when I told her we had a reservation. We checked in and she gave us the keys and said we can drive to the back of the hotel...

It was just a great experience to stay at Hotel Grimsborgir. The service, food, rooms and food was just great. The hot tubs were also indispensable. We had a great stay at this great hotel. 5 star experience.

We came to Grímsborgir to celebrate my mom's birthday. We got excellent service, great food and the house we stayed in was cozy, clean and with lot of space for everyone. The house has great facilities, comfortable bedrooms, plenty of room in the bathroom, big and open kitchen and great living room for the family to sit down in the...

Stayed at the 5-bedroom house. Never met any other visitors while we were staying there. Pros: - Delicious breakfast despite the decor - Spacious house that is cosy and very clean complete with dining room, living room, fireplace, den, outdoor patio with hot tub - Warm service Cons: - Wish there could be an en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom...

My family and I spent one (1) night at the Hotel Grimsborgir in early September and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We paid ~$350 for one (1) night which is not to off from the average hotel cost. The hotel is quite remote and that's a good thing as it is peaceful. We arrived in the afternoon and checked in at the...

Beautiful location, wonderful staff. Plenty of hot tubs! I called ahead and asked if they had any vegan options for dinner and they ended up making me a wonderful nut roast with cauliflower, ruccola and grilled carrot strings (I think). The entertainment was provided by some old local rock legends who swept everyone in the room off their feet! I...

This hotel was good in some regards but failed on others. The staff were friendly, the rooms were tidy but didn't quite have the feel of a luxury hotel room. The restaurant looked to be made to cater for big tour groups and the one dinner we had there was disappointing. Overall the hotel fell short on character for what...

Friendly staff and the most astounding location. The rooms are lovely and we are sat outside in a hot tub watching satellites fly across the night sky. Heaven! The food is exceptional and varied. Drinks are very expensive so stock up in duty free on the trip over.

We arrived at the hotel at 9:20 pm after a 16 hour journey, we were greeted well at the reception and escorted to our rooms. The rooms were spacious and warm with beautiful terraces attached but unfortunately we did not get to see the northern lights. The only disappointment was the shower which overflowed hence the water came into the...
