We previously stayed in Hveragerdi 4 years ago, but not at this hotel, and promised ourselves when we returned we'd stay here instead. The hotel is wonderfully located - you can see and hear the river from your hotel room, and breakfast is superb (served in the beautiful and cosy Restaurant Varma). The huge disappointment for us was that the...

I saw the Northern lights in this hotel...enough said. It is isolated enough to see the surrounding area, including Icelandic horses, trails, and geothermic hot steam from the mountains. I love nature, but I need a bit of a reprieve and a warm room, and this hotel serves perfectly. You can hike for an hour or so around the premises...

We stayed one night in a junior suite in Hotel Ranga before staying 3 nights at Frost and Fire and we were so happy about that decision. We stayed in Room 16 which was the second room in a block of eight. This position was away from the pool but still close to a hot tub. Our patio was situated...

This hotel is just amazing. The setting is jaw dropping, the rooms are really nice and the food in the restaurant is great. If you are here just for a one night, spend some time in the heated outside pools looking for the Northern Lights!

Stayed at Frost and Fire for two nights in December 2016. Very friendly staff, the restaurant served an excellent breakfast and the dinner was fine dining with the freshest ingredients. Conveniently located for doing a self drive of the Golden Circle. Would love to go back and stay there again.

The guest house is charming - cozy and not too big. Large windows. Pool and hot tub outdoors. Restaurant meals were very good - well presented and tasty. The rooms are nice. A bit tight for two people with a fair amount of clothing/gear for hiking/touring. I would recommend hooks in the bathroom for towels or even better a heated...

Very pleasant hotel in a scenic and peaceful location. Well run, clean and very friendly staff. The outdoor hot tub with the river running past was a nice feature. Great food (dinner and breakfast) in the restaurant. Only comment would be that the room was a little on the small side. Would recommend.

This was our first trip to Iceland and ended up staying one night here at the Frost and Fire! Rooms were clean, staff very friendly, location awesome and breakfast was spot on! If ever in Iceland definitely worth a stay at this property! Hope to be back again soon!

We stayed at this hotel as my partner had read good reviews & we thought it would be nice to stay outside of the city centre. From the outside the guest house looks nice but our room was dusty & generally not that clean. Items of dirt had been swept underneath the bed, the wardrobe looked awful inside, parts of...

We first came to the Frost & Fire four years ago and absolutely fell in love with the place. Everything about it is perfect, great location, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and the most amazing dinner, moss infused ice-cream? You have to try it!! Really, there's not much more to say that hasn't already been said about this hotel and it's...
