Hotel Eyvindara is more of a hotel than a farm stay. The main building offers plenty of room, private, en-suite bathrooms, a nice view and plenty of parking. The owners are very friendly, very helpful and seem to love what they are doing. It's the little things that make the difference from average to good to excellent. While we were...

Clean and comfortable basic rooms with en suite facilities. Welcoming and friendly. Quiet and deep comfortable beds. Good breakfast buffet with lots of choices - very filling. Chance to see the Northern Lights if it is clear out.

This is a charming hotel. We chose one of the annex rooms, which have a semi-private patio (separated by concrete dividers). The floors were heated, which was a nice treat! From the patio, we were able to watch and photograph the northern lights. There's a line of trees that reduces some of surrounding light pollution. The breakfast was modest but...

We drove many hours up the Eastern Fjords and cut inland to get to this location. The mountains in the area looked magical and as we headed down into the valley to the tiny town of Egilsstadir. The area is known for cross country skiing and there is a college nearby. The Hotel Eyvindara was located off the main road...

Had a very nice stay here in one of the hotel rooms. Room was small but a comfortable size with private facilities. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast fairly standard. Entire hotel was very clean. Nice quiet location outside of town but easy drive into town.

We stayed in one of the cottages. It was so cozy! Someone from the hotel contacted us the night before our stay concerned that the cottage might be too cold and gave us our choice of the main building or the cottage (which he let us pick when we got there - so nice!). We went with the cottage because...

Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the few hotels where they smiled at you and make you feel welcome. Love the attitude they had towards us. Buffet breakfast was very nice and complete. The lounge was quite nice, it looked like an Ikea display, so perfect and clean. Nice place to hang for a while and watch TV....

Stayed here in May 2016 at the start of a wonderful Iceland road trip. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was well located for walks and drives to some stunning locations. A buffet breakfast was provided and for a small charge you could help yourself to extras for a packed lunch.
