We arrive for a busy nurburgring weekend, and find this place as the closest hotel to nordschleife. First we worried a little because of the distance, but then we find out, that this little town is a beautiful place to stay. Take a short tour to the old castle! It takes 25 minutes to reach the nurburgring in a beautiful...

Rooms very nice with very comfy beds and clean towels everyday. Set in a beautiful setting ideal for exploring. The food, unfortunately was terrible, pork, pork and more pork. We did have beef one evening but it was too salty to eat. One off putting thing was Otto sitting drinking with his bar buddies or having his foot (infected with...

Just got back from a wonderful holiday. The hotel is set in a beautiful village. The views from the rooms vary. The staff were very helpful and hotel clean. If you get the chance to see Ramona in action don't miss it !

This hotel is in the centre of Altenahr. It is a good base for walking, exploring and visiting the medieval towns nearby. The beds are comfortable, all rooms en suite, hairdryer, tv. It is not luxurious but very convenient. The food was good too. We did a lot of walking in the surrounding hills and valleys. There is a good...

This is a good base for touring. I had gone with a coach tour to visit the German markets. It is a basic hotel but does provide an excellent nights sleep on comfy beds. The facilities are reflected in the price so don't expect all the posh toiletries although I did have some shower wash but there was no soap....

This pleasant hotel is a decent base for walks in the Altenahr area. It is conveniently located in the centre of the village, with a couple of convenience shops/bakeries near by for packed lunch items. I would not choose Altenahr for its night life any time but high summer season, although there are some decent restaurants and bars open most...

This is a very homely hotel set in the middle of the village. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. Lots of hot water for showers, just what you need after a day walking in the beautiful surrounding countryside. The food is plentiful and good and Otto and his staff make very good hosts. He also stocks some...

No tea making facilities, which is quite normal for many small continental hotels.Tthe food was excellent and the staff attentive. There...

We stayed here on a New Year break with Travelsphere. The atmosphere was great, the food ample and excellent, and the room, though basic, very clean and practical. Otto and his family provided an attentive and caring service for his guests, even taking our large group on a short walking tour of nearby vineyards, followed by an entertaining and extensive...
