We simply loved this restaurant and every dish that it served. Simple, authentic, unassuming, home-made-feel and delicious. Traditional Provencal. It has quite a large number of local customers - booking is recommended. The view from the terrace over the mountain is beautiful. We came here for lunch after a stop at Abyss Senanque, Gordes. The drive to Vanessque from Gordes...

We go to the Venasque area twice a year for three weeks at a time. We go as two couples. We eat in this restaurant the day after we arrive and return several times during the two weeks. We have never stayed at the hotel but we are always tempted to do so. We love the food and the atmosphere...

We stayed in a home in the village and only ate in the restaurant. We ate our first meal on the day of our arrival and returned to this restaurant 2 additional times in our 7 day stay. The food is excellent with a variety of options. There are several set 4 course menus to accommodate different expenses and also...

Basic accommodation that was adequate for our hiking stay. Bathroom had thin grey towels and a shower head with no connection to attach to the wall holder. There was The Worst Bed I have ever slept in - or attempted to sleep in. A mattress mounted on a wooden box frame which made a loud creaking noise whenever we got...

Warm welcome, extremely animal friendly, private (closed) parking at just a minute walk. Typical Provence style rooms in a house two doors away from the restaurant (private entrance). Dinner is great with either menu or carte choice, won't break the bank, on top. Breakfast (included in the room price) in the veranda with the exquisite views is the best way...

If you are on holiday in Provence try this restaurant. It is delightful in every way. The duck was first rate and the Pudding with lavender magnificent. Aperitif of real cherry juice. This restaurant was discovered because one of the party was vegetarian and good menus for vegetarians are few and far between in Provence. This restaurant had a whole...

Our third visit. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Friendly and attentive staff. Excellent picnics. Wonderful, imaginative, food. Beautiful quiet village and hotel terrace overlooking countryside with wonderful evening sunsets. Hope to return again.

We first arrived at the Hotel at the end of our first day of our cycling holiday "Tour de Provence". The climb up to the Village as mentioned by others is not for the feint hearted especially if you have come from the Gordes direction and have covered 80 plus km! The Hotel staff were very welcoming and we were...

I was on a cycling holiday with my husband but had to push the last few metres to the village! On arrival I was greeted warmly by name and a cold beer was in my hand within 5 minutes! Rooms basic but comfortable and restaurant great with attentive staff and fantastic views of the sunset. Quiet town but worth a...

If you want ultra modernity and minimalist spaciousness then don't stay here, but if you want charm, warmth and authenticity in a small, lovely, picturesque hilltop town then this is the place for you. After driving a long distance through atrocious weather we were disenchanted with Provence but seeing Venasque perched high above us reinvigorated us, and the hotel itself...
