Haikko has an image of premium place, set up in lush gardens and glorious manor house. As I recently stayed in Langvik and was pleasantly surprised by the place, I expected Haikko to be even better. It wasn’t even near. Reception and staff were polite and very professional and my dogs felt very welcome in our special, dog friendly room. Grounds are well kept and it’s a nice setting to spend some time. Now, to crappy stuff. There is only generic washing liquid in your room (hands, body, hair from a non descriptive container). It’s a spa and I would expect to get, I don’t know, maybe a moisturizer or hair shampoo. And in 4 star hotel, I would expect branded products. Breakfast was fairly poor. No smoothies or many vegetarian options, limited gluten free. You can get much better breakfast in any Scandic hotel, not to mention Radisson. Juice was mostly water. Next, the spa itself. We didn’t have treatments, just used the spa area. It’s tiny. Swimming pool is small and it’s hard to have proper swimming in it. Area shows significant signs of tear and wear and honestly, it wasn’t the cleanest. Bar in the spa building is a small roof area and you need to get your drinks from overworked reception. Room was fairly small and no air conditioning. Lastly, there is only one elevator in the building, which is also used by the cleaning staff. Good luck getting it. But, putting all of this aside, my dogs loved the place and if I would ask them, they would be sure to come back. Me, less so.

We stayed two nights in the main building and for the third night we had to move to the spa hotel. The room in the main building was spacious enough but old and the interior was somber. The bathroom needs urgent renovation. The room was not worth the price. In the spa hotel we had a superior room with a big sitting area and a separate sleeping room, both with big windows and a lot of brightness. The bathroom was awesome , spacious, modern and very clean. Breakfast was average, rather sparse than rich. The restaurant served good food but the menu was short. The restaurant was closed from Sunday evening to Thursday and the bistro in the spa hotel did not compensate it. Summa summarum, the prices are based on the reputation of Haikko as a first class hotel and spa but as for our visit it appeared as an average basic hotel.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you liked our Spa deluxe room where you stayd the third night of your visit. Deluxe room is spacious suite-type room at Spa Hotel building with new bathroom. Hotel Haikko Manor & Spa has seven different room categories, 3 hotel types in the Manor building and 4 in the Spa hotel building. The size, decorations and also the amount of amenities vary in different room types. Sorry to hear that the bathroom of your manor room did not meet your expectations.

Haikko Manor & Spa is a historical location in Porvoo, a 30-40 minutes drive away from Helsinki. The manor has beautiful park, some beaches, it's own dock, saunas straight to the water, couple restaurants and a spa. The manor building itself is very nice looking, but the hotel & congress center expansion is very ugly and doesn't look right next to the manor at all.

We visited the place after the aftermath of covid-19 closures and it might affect our experience.

We had a night at the suite, spa & restaurant experience. The suite itself was not actually not a suite but a middle sized junior suite with a jacuzzi. The room was clean and bed was nice. We couldn't adjust the temperature so it was a bit too hot for us. Service was friendly, but absolutely bare minimum - no extra services were offered, not even via brochures. They didn't really want our money, expect with alcoholic drinks that were quite pricy.

The spa is small, almost cozy. Especially the dressing rooms feel a bit outdated and old fashioned, but the spa area is very clean and comfortable. There is a lounge area where you can get drinks and some snacks.

If you don't expect concierge service and are willing to pay some premium for the surroundings (even if your hotel room would be at the ugly hotel building), Haikko offers a nice place for max couple nights getaway.

Waste of money, really overpriced. It is not a manor (there are only a few rooms in the manor) and the main hotel building looks like a renovated 1980’s school - it’s ugly. The rooms are small, cleaning poor, and it was so cold I couldn’t sleep at all. Worst part is the spa though. The hotel advertises itself as a spa hotel. However, quests cannot freely enjoy the (small) spa but they have to prebook a visit of 1,5 hours, which is all you get for a one-night stay. The spa is also full of day visitors. I would stay away!

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. I would change the mattresses on the beds. If more that one person lives in the room, I would like the amount of shower cosmetics to match the number of people. And in the summer there are not enough masking nets

The hotel and spa locates in a beautiful place with lot of walking paths. The view from hotel rooms is amazing. The hotel is located in a peaceful place, but only 10 min from the romantic city Porvoo (by car). There is also a bus line nearby. The spa is small and your turn is scheduled which makes the visit pleasant as the spa is never full crowded. The staff is very very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and there are products from local farmers. Also the food at restaurants and bistro is very good. The rooms are clean and I enjoyed especially the bed linen and quiet nights.

Place is little different than basic hotels, but rooms in the main building are really old and not on the level with the price. Bed and pillows were pretty bad and bathroom is small and old. But in the place like this, you shouldn't spend your time in the room. View from the Villa was amazing and the location of the terrace bar is excellent! Because of Covid-19 restrictions, it was impossible to visit the spa as a couple, so we couldn't go there because you need to book times for male and female separately, not as one party?!

The main building is not advertised or shown in pictures when booking a room and no wonder, it’s really ugly. Looks like 80s school building or hospital. The view from our room was to the other side of the hotel, an ugly wall and you could see to other hotel rooms so we had to keep curtains closed the whole time. Room was really average and the interiors, paint in bathroom etc. not well-maintained. Based on the advertisement vs reality of the main building we felt lilke we were scammed.

The spa was super crowded and we had to wait a long time before we managed to get to saunas and the hot tub. You have to book a 1,5 hour slot to visit the spa (really short time!) but no one checked if we entered the spa at a correct time, hence we thought that maybe there were some people who were there during an incorrect slot because the spa was so busy.

Breakfast was at the manor and was alright but nothing out of ordinary and certainly far from superior. The breakfast room was also super crowded and felt far from relaxing as the staff collected away the dishes as soon as possible.

Overall this hotel advertises itself as fancy and superior but is far from that. Dishonest pictures and advertising were a huge turn off. Would not visit again.

Sorry to hear that our services didn't exceed your expectations and you disliked the outside of the Spa Hotel. We are not trying to hide it but do our best to show in photos and tell in words about our two different hotel buildings: The Spa Hotel with standard rooms and spa services & meeting rooms and The Manor Hotel with romantic Manor-style rooms and a la carte manor restaurant. Please check also our new web pages. Our Spa is quite small compared to public swimming pools. To give every hotel guest the possibility to Spa visit, the Spa visiting times have been staggered, advance spa bookings and limited spa duration (1,5hrs). Sorry to hear that dispite this the pools were too crowded during your visit. If you appreciate more peaceful Spa moments we recommend to enjoy spa late in the evening or early in the morning.

The location by the seaside is beautiful although not so fancy during the cold winter. Service at the reception was very friendly and informative. Our room in the spa building (which itself represents the most brutal concrete precast element architecture from the 1970’s) was very basic but clean and had the required necessities. Bathroom was rather small, especially the shower space is cramped. Beds were good but a bit wider ones would be appreciated as currently they are only 80 cm wide.
Dinner at the Manor house was memorable. The facility is elegant, the service was flawless and the food was superior. Breakfast served in the Manor house was very good, too.
Beautiful Manor building, friendly and caring staff and excellent food are the best elements this traditional hotel can offer.

Hi, I suppose, we can both attractions for two days. The Faberge museum is locate on the embankment river Fontanka and take a boat ride on the river/ canals after excursion will be optimal and very comfortable. There are many points departures boats here. Well, reserve tickets in a museum booking-office and after that you will how much free time you have before and after excursion. Than you can chose time for travel on the canals. The weather can be sunny or runny, but not cold, I suppouse. I can speak, that our friends from Arad likes St.Pet. in summer. WELCOME!
