We wanted a relaxed day of and we gotbit. Nice tidy room with a separate sleeping area and a living room and all this in a standard room. Personel met us with a kind and great service attitude, service was excellent in the lobby and breakfast was tasty
This hotel is located bang in the middle of Porvoo old town in an idyllic old building. It has 10 rooms - we stayed in Room 2 on the ground floor. The room itself was cozy, with a separate entrance room / lounge with two armchairs and a table, a wardrobe and a small fridge. The bathroom was on the compact side but had a good sized shower. A big plus for the normal sized Molton Brown toiletries. The bedroom had a wall mounted tv, a king sized bed and bedside tables. The decor was in keeping with the character of the building, and old fashioned charm. The windows from the bedroom look right in to the busy pedestrian street with the shops directly opposite, but does have good net curtains so can't imagine you can see too much from the street. When we checked in, the sun was blaring directly in to the bedroom so we closed the curtains to block the sun. The air conditioning was adequate enough to keep the bedroom cool despite the boiling weather outside. The reception area is stylish and the entrance to the rooms in direct from the reception. Half the rooms are upstairs with direct entrance from the breakfast room. The inner courtyard is very pretty and also houses the terrace of the hotel restaurant Meat District next door. There are a few parking spaces in the courtyard as well. We didn't spend too much time at the hotel as we went for a river cruise and dinner by the river as well. We slept ok until the building work next door started the following morning - can't be helped and isn't the hotel's fault but it did take away from the experience. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. The room itself was cozy with 5 tables and you get to choose 9 am or 10.15 am setting. The spread wasn't as good as I would have expected and although there were only a few people eating breakfast at the time, the bowls were empty all the time. I don't drink coffee or tea so it didn't bother me, but the server never offered coffee or tea which was meant to be served at the table. For the location, Pariisin Ville is probably the best in Porvoo. And otherwise as well I guess - all in all there was nothing actually wrong but something was lacking for me. I would stay again, so guess that is saying something.…
Old town of Porvoo is amazing place to stay. We had pleasant stay in this cosy small hotel. Perfect for couples to have time for each other 😍 without any hassle around. The personnel was extremely friendly and attentive. Our breakfast was just perfect.
Hotel Pariisin Ville is a 10 rooms hotel in the middle of small old town of Porvoo. It has some parking spots to be prebooked for guest convenience. The rooms are located in two floors. Having stayed here for twice, I strongly recommend 2nd floor rooms (above street level). This time I had booked a suite: it features a lounge with cozy balcony, toilet, bathrom & sauna and bedroom. If you are travelling for business, the workspace is not necessarily the best possible. If you are looking cozy stay with homey feeling and tasteful decoration, you are likely to enjoy your stay here. The breakfast is located next the second floor rooms. The selection of food is not necessarily the largest, but very well thought and all the items in the buffet are at highest quality. Service was smooth and friendly. It is hard to run a hotel of 10 rooms at low costs, and hence the cost of one night (300 euros) is fairly high. However, highly recommended.…
This small hotel is in the heart of Porvoo surrounded by old and picturesque wooden houses and cobblestone streets. The river and walking paths are only few steps away and the old town is full of cafes and small shops. The hotel itself is a carefully restored wooden house with only 10 rooms. The hotel is very romantic and it is meant mainly for adults. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. A good breakfast is included. It is a lovely place for a weekend stay - only 50 km from Helsinki.
This is a lovely and characterful hotel slap bang in the nicest part of Porvoo. My wife and I stayed here for a night while on a cycling trip and had a very comfortable time - the air conditioned rooms were a huge benefit during the June heatwave! Breakfast was a very cute and cosy affair - tables were allocated upon check-in to make sure social distancing was observed and to accommodate all the guests in the small breakfast room. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we even had a glass of champagne on the small wine terrace.
Great little hotel with excellent location, beautiful rooms and great service. We visited during the corona outbreak and everything was organised perfectly. A three course menu from a nearby restaurant was served in the room and breakfast filled with local produce was organised beautifully. Service was excellent throughout the stay. Rooms were spotless and the doggy room was perfect for travelling with a dog 🐶
We planned a quick getaway to Old Porvoo and decided to book Hotel Pariisin Ville in the centre of this historical part of city. Convenient location, parking was available and hotel represented total of ten rooms and customized stay. Room was a wonderful experience with licingroom followed by spacious bathroom with own sauna and comfortable bedroom overlooking the "main" street which particurlarly was quiet giving a chance for a good night sleep. Hotel also runs a restaurant next door serving delicious meat dishes for those travellers keen on enjoying specialities. City was preparing for normally busy summer season when tourist come for a day visit particurlaly from the capital Helsinki. We do wish more people consider overnight stay to get best of this picturesque town on their visit. Hotel staff was amazing, service is clearly in their heart and small business owners like the owners of Pariisin Ville deserve their chance to showcase their hospitality in the wide landscape of accommodation options. We had an enjoyable stay and if our travel takes us back to Old Porvoo, this accommodation certainly is on our mind. Thank you for your care and service and we wish Summer 2020 to be success.…
It was our pleasure and privilege to stay in Pariisin Ville. Since the first minute we had a great service and we got wonderful room with Sauna. Location is at the old town and atmosphere in the surrounding area was just breathtaking. Breakfast!!!! What a great breakfast that is based on local farmers ingredients. Really fresh and tasty!!! Thank you..... we will come back...
We were looking for a weekend break, and this hotel was just perfect for that. The first thing we saw upon arrival was the excuisite lobby with beautiful furniture. We were escorted to our suite on the 2nd floor, past the cosy and inviting breakfast room. Our suite was impeccably furnished with unique antique pieces, the rooms were perfectly clean, and the separate toilet and bathroom&sauna were spacious and fresh. We especially appreciated the suite’s sauna which we happily used, our restful sleep (the hotel was fantastically quiet), the views to the streets of Porvoo old town. And I always like having the Molton Browns in the bathroom... The breakfast was very nice, with local delicacies, and a peaceful ambiance. This is a well-kept boutique hotel perfect for romantic getaways in one of the most fantastic towns in Finland. Warmly recommended!…
