My fiancé and I planned to stay at Jinava Bay Hotel for five nights at the end of our 6 month adventure around South and Central America. On the third night of our stay our hotel room was broken into and everything of value was stolen. On the night of the robbery we left the room at around 7pm to...

Our room was alongside other rooms and not near the street, however, because the windows were at waist height and didn't have bars on them, we decided to keep them shut during the night. By 7am the next morning the room was boiling (there was no fan or AC), so we opened one window figuring it was bright light outside...

The view at Jinava Bay is absolutely stunning. To wake up every morning to that beauty was wonderful. The bungalows are very cute and clean. The staff is helpful. Like some reviewers have said, it is a few minutes walk from the main part of town and there are some steps to get down to the lake, but ALL WORTH...

The property looks great from pictures. However, it's 209 steps from the road to the hotel, and no one to carry your bags. That's what you have to do before you can walk into town and get a decent restaurant.. The hotel claims internet (untrue), kayaks (only if you eat breakfast at their terrible restaurant). There is no hot water...

We enjoyed our stay at Jinava very much, the staff is very nice and helpful and made us feel comfortable right from the start. The steep gardens are beautiful. We arrived by boat at the dock of the hotel, splendid view on the hotel. The outdoor restaurant is excellent, the food very good (especially the crepas con nutella) although the...

This place was a nightmare. First of all the staff mentioned we could pay for our room with credit card but neglected to mention that they would charge a significant fee for this. When we asked them to work with us on this they were unwilling. But much more importantly, the rooms are damp, likely moldy and freezing! My wife...

This area is really beautiful but very well priced. The lake is surrounded by volcanoes. The only way to get to the hotels on the islands is by boat. The food they served was delicious and I have never seen a more restful setting. Everyone was accomodating. You must be able to climb steps to get to this area but...

The hotel is located on the lake shore with its own boat platform. The rooms are spread through the hill in which the hotel is located, perfectly and beautifully integrated into the scenery. The views from the rooms are STUNNING. It breaths peace, quiet, beauty. From the platform you can jump into the lake or just lay in the sun....

We stayed just one night, since we were staying a night in all main villages around the lake, but we were very well treated, best thing is the staff, especially Sr Gaspar, who with we enjoyed so much a very nice chat about the old and current times of the lake. Verry good prices, very quiet, fantastic views of the...
