We stayed at Jinava's two nights. Location is really beautiful and accommodation is also clean and confortable. Service staff very nice and helpful BUT they have 1.000 stupid rules which made our stay very annoying. They stressed us all the time with payments every time we had breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also denied us to accept credit card after... More

While the view from the private dock is beautiful, it is absolutely not worth the horrible experience. On the second night of our stay, around 6:30pm, all of our valuable items were stolen from our room. Our room was fully locked and we went out to dinner. When we came back, all of our extra cash and credit cards had... More

To get that kind of view and relaxing atmosphere you need to carry your bags a few stapes. View is great staff is helpful direct access for a swim at the lake with clean clean water. The city is close. Highly recommended.

We are couple who came to San Marcos for a few days but stayed for more than a week, because we couldn't leave the view from our room, which was the best we saw in the whole area of the lake. The staff is super nice and helpful, have to mention Nicolas and Pablo who were very friendly and helpful,... More

We had an excellent time at Jinava Hotel! The views, natural surroundings, and the accommodations were beautiful and made you feel like you were in a tropical paradise. Next to our room was a calming waterfall surrounded by brightly-colored flowers. The restaurant's food was fresh and creative, offering plenty to eat. While staying at Jinava, there is no reason to... More

We had a very relaxed stay at Jinava. Although Jinava is relatively expensive compared to other hotels around Lago de Atitlan, we found that it was absolutely worth the money. The hotel is situated beautifully on a hillside with lots of plants, trees and birds, right next to the lake. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The staff is super... More

My fiancé and I planned to stay at Jinava Bay Hotel for five nights at the end of our 6 month adventure around South and Central America. On the third night of our stay our hotel room was broken into and everything of value was stolen. On the night of the robbery we left the room at around 7pm to... More

Our room was alongside other rooms and not near the street, however, because the windows were at waist height and didn't have bars on them, we decided to keep them shut during the night. By 7am the next morning the room was boiling (there was no fan or AC), so we opened one window figuring it was bright light outside... More

The view at Jinava Bay is absolutely stunning. To wake up every morning to that beauty was wonderful. The bungalows are very cute and clean. The staff is helpful. Like some reviewers have said, it is a few minutes walk from the main part of town and there are some steps to get down to the lake, but ALL WORTH... More
