We stayed here for a Missions trip, and had a great stay. Rooms were nice. We had to cram extra people into the rooms, so it was a bit cramped due to our needs. Our room had a small patio with a nice view of the hills nearby and the hotel's beautiful property and gardens. The shower was tricky, but this is due to the resources in the area. The hot water was only turned on at certain times, and other times water was completely off. Each shower was different...we either had hot water but no pressure (I mean literally trickling), or we had pressure but ice cold water. Not a complaint, again this is due to the resources in this area. The room and hotel was all very clean. Food was amazing! We had some really great meals during our stay. All of the staff were so nice. There was a pool and some slides, though we didn't use them. They had WiFi at night, which we all so appreciated.…
Our group of 20 spent 5 nights there. The people couldn't have been nicer. The food was good, but the breakfast was almost the same: eggs, tortillas, fruit. The rooms were clean, needed bath mat. Wish it was heated. The old dog was adorable.
Wonderful staff, Very friendly. very clean rooms and very comfortable. Excellent showers. The food was very good and served in a timely manner. We were there on a Church building project and they couldn't have been more hospitable. In fact, they catered a meal at the jobsite for us and our mission team from the church. I would stay there again.
This was our second stay at the Boxbolandia. Our first experience was excellent as was this stay. The rooms are large, bright and very clean. The staff is wonderfully helpful. In particular, Jose Carlos made us a hearty and delicious breakfast to start the day. The hotel is situated on the side of hill so there are steps that have to be negotiated. It can be cold in Nebaj, but the hotel supplies extra blankets.
We had a big group of almost 40 women. The staff was helpful, friendly & efficient. The food was very good & we were well taken care of. The showers were large and the floor smooth & slippery, so be careful :) The steps were an issue for several women in our group. No heat, but just ask for "un poncho" at the desk and you will get an extra blanket. The scenery was beautiful behind the hotel. The hotel was clean & fresh. The meeting room is at the bottom of a fairly steep incline. The hotel employees waited on us hand & foot & we hated to leave. Recommended for large groups. We were the only ones there- we took up the entire hotel :)
