This hotel overlooks the valley of San Isidro de General. The lovely grounds, clean rooms and exceptional service provided by the hosts Billy and Lisa, make you feel right at home. The hotel is a short ride to downtown and the hosts will give you experienced recommendations on restaurants, shopping, and tours. Billy can be hired for local tours, and to take you to the San Jose airport.

We were in for one night and the view was amazing. This is what the call a Tiko style place which means that it's a traditional type dwelling. It was plenty cool with the windows open and ceiling fan on. It is in a 3rd world country so if you are planning on living as an american you may be disappointed. The room were spacious, clean, and ready upon arrival. The staff was there for anything and they served us traditional food for breakfast on their private terrace overlooking the valley and San Ysidro......in all I would stay here anytime.....

The rooms are simple but very clean, and the view from each front terrace is excellent day or night. Billy and his family are great examples of Costa Rican hospitality. One thing they have added since my last stay is an included breakfast, a little different each day and very well prepared. I was also happy to find that the roosters have left (or been taken away from) the neighborhood and the trucks were not as loud and bothersome as on previous visits, but just in case, Billy delivered earplugs to us the first evening (we didn't have to use them.) The reception area is basically their living room, which just makes the place feel homier. The pizzeria/grill where you turn off the highway is good, and for typical Costa Rican fare, drive two km. north to El Trapiche de Nayo

It is certainly one of the best options near San Isidro del General if you want to be close to the town, use public transportation, and spend a night or two at a beautiful place with a perfect view of the town. My most positive impression, however, was from the hosts, the whole family. They tried to help me to find my cell phone I left on the road (and found there), waived the outdoor pool fee, made perfect breakfast, gave us a ride to a bus terminal at San Isidro, again for free, but this time I thought it would be too much and insisted on paying for it. Oh, and the dogs did not bother us! Highly recommend and totally support all positive reviews!

We were there for one night, the room was clean and very big. The view was great especially by night. Breakfast was typical and very tasty. Definitely a place to be. The host were very friendly and has good recommendations for lunch and dinner.
