We are 2 friends traveling together and decided to splurge for a comfortable beautiful stay en route to the Osa. Our hosts were so accommodating and friendly and speak great English although we mostly communicated in Spanish. Breakfast was delicious. Laundry service was awesome to have. We didn't use the jacuzzi but it's free if you don't heat it up. Our room was beautiful but we did put a scarf over the lamp outside to dim the light :) Billy was super helpful with finding our bus route out of San Isidro to the Osa. We love hotel Princesa and hope to stay there again some day!! Thank you so much! Con mucho amor y amistad, - Amelia y David
We found this place by searching on here while we were in the area. It's outside of town so a vehicle is necessary to get there, it's up quite a steep hill but once you get there, the view is breathtaking. You walk up to a beautiful garden filled with lush pinks and purples, flowers all in bloom overlooking the city below. Morning sunrise from the rooms with large windows looking out over the garden makes me wish I could have stayed longer. The first hot tub I have seen in central America was at this place and it was lovely though I never got to get in sadly. It's nice and out of the way for some quiet and privacy but not very far from anything you might need or want. Billy speaks english and is a great host. We hope we'll get the opportunity to come back again :)
This hotel was beautiful and inexpensive. I would definitely go back. They recommended an excellent restaurant just down the road with an even more amazing view as well as great food at a very reasonable price. The outdoor Jacuzzi costs $10 extra and needs three hours to heat up.
The staff was very extremely friendly. The grounds are very pretty and the view of San Isidro is amazing. We made acquaintance with a cab driver who lived close by and he provided us with flexible and affordable trips into town. We bought groceries and stored them in the fridge in the room. They always
In rain season La Princesa Hotel owner Billy picked us up and drove us to his hotel. Every morning we could see the city in the valley out of the bed. In short: beautiful view in every direction, clean room with kitchen and bathroom with a really good service, small pool to relax in a tropical atmosphere, wifi – even at the pool Hint: If you are interested in the ancestors of Costa Rica, ask Billy for the Boruca tribe.
