I've spent over a month at Hotel Himalaya. Positives: nice rooms, good green space, small but pleasant gym, small pool. Negatives: close to zero internet access (one password per room, which only works on one device and most of the time even that doesn't work), overpriced, mediocre food, no cappuccino.

Even though it was cheap i found it irritating to have to pay per hour for WiFi when its generally free these days. Good accommodation and fairly priced restaurant otherwise. Only stayed one night so not sure about locality.

I think I'll soon have stayed in every hotel in KTM at the rate at which I'm going :) Anwyays, I stayed at Himalaya Hotel for over a week and had no complaints really of the place. The hotel is very well located in Lalitpur and is quiet despite seeming to be right on the main road. Food is decent,...

My only grouse was that Wifi wouldn't work on my Mac even if it worked on Windows. On the second day luckily they got it working with a LAN cable. Food was not all the great...

The Hotel Himalaya is a good option for business travelers and tourists alike. Not directly in the centre of town but in an area that is a bit less hectic than other options. Rooms are well equipped and the restaurant is fair (although service is sometimes poor).

After living in the northern part of town of three weeks, I worked for a second humanitarian agency responding to the massive April earthquake, and moved to the Himalaya, five minutes on foot from my office. During five weeks, it was my home, where I would fall exhausted after 14-hour long days, wake up early in the morning to a...

One of the best hotels in Kathmandu. Good service with good food for breakfast. Rooms are of good size with shower in the bathtub. Furnishing a little dated but rooms are clean and adequately equipped. There were mosquitoes but I managed to kill them. Room was supposed to be smoke free but cigarette smoke from the conference room next door...
