Hotel was a little old but nice and clean. Wifi only worked in reception and not in the rooms (only for an additional charge) which wasn't too good. Breakfast average. Lovely hotel staff which were friendly and accommodating.

This was not my first time at the hotel. Initially, the service was not bad considering the location. However, my stay this time from April 1-6, 2017 was anything but pleasant! The last 2 days, the hotel shut off the air conditioning and it was so hot and stuffy as the windows were locked and could not be opened. My...

It is said to be one of the iconic hotels in Kathmandu and i paid almost USD 110 for it. But there after everything went downhill. Wifi was not free in the room against the promise that it was. Hotel lobby was extremely shabby and old. Buffet was quite basic and average in taste. Infact the food was not really...

Could have been better if the housekeeping and telephones are taken care of; so also air-conditioning. The staff generally is good including the front desk and at the restaurant. One of the fastest check in and check out experienced by me. Front desk needs my compliments. Keep it up.

As I write this review, I am completing a six week academic visit to the Kathmandu University School of Education. After a brief attempt to adapt to traditional Nepalese hotel accommodations (hard beds, cold rooms, limited services), my wife and I moved to the Hotel Himalaya, a 4-star hotel with a 5-star staff. For us it was perfect. The rooms...
