This hotel has two buildings, the room style in each building is quite different. One is traditional Nepalese and another one is western style. The first night they put me in the traditional room, the room is pretty and also has a balcony. But as it's in high floor and the hotel only has stairs so I request to change...

Perfect location for exploring Patan and Kathmandu. A few meters from Durbar Square, wandering the streets of Patan is seeing the old Kathmandu and far better than being in Thamel. The property is beautiful with modern touches where you want them, but stays true to the old feel of the surroundings. Great restaurant. Have been to Kathmandu 9 times and...

We just spent a full week at Swotha, and it was wonderful. As someone who lives in Kathmandu, I wanted somewhere that would be comfortable for my parents, while still feeling Nepali. Swotha offered just that, and more! Delicious food, first rate staff that were extremely helpful in arranging other activities, beautifully decorated rooms, Newari architecture, and a great location...

My friends and I stayed for only one night, but I could say that it is more than enough to tell how good this place is. We we're welcomed by warm smiles and tiptop service. The staff we're very knowledgable and speak english quite well. The exterior exudes a rustic feel contrary to the modern-zen inspired interior. We felt immediate...

Despite that I am a frequent traveller for business and pleasure, and that for work I normally stay in luxury hotels from Hilton, Marriott ...the team at T. H SWOTHA and their beautiful small hotel has made my stay with them the best I ever had in my 48 years in live: Forget staying in Kathmandu and experience what is...

I stayed in 5 hotels on a recent trip to Nepal and this hotel was by far the most outstanding. A real treat, with good customer service and beautiful rooms full of local character. A really good location in Patan too. The food was so good and offered a great variety of local and international. I would love to stay...

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Swotha Traditional Homes, we didn't want to leave. The location couldn't be better, it's just 2 minutes walk to Patan Durbar Square, and surrounded by some nice eating places, quirky charming little shops, and just walking around this area is a delightful trip back in time. The restaurant at the hotel is...

Spacious, clean and beautiful rooms, an excellent small restaurant both for a generous breakfast and dinner, and a very friendly and helpful staff. The interior style of the room is traditional with a modern feeling. Calm and quiet at night. Patan itself is to recommend before busy Thamel and Kathmandu, just take a taxi if you want to go there....

Swotha is a mix of local traditions with beautiful architectural renovation. Great service is offered. The place is very well situated in Patan. Swotha has also a restaurant next doors that serves authentic and really delicious dishes. You should try the Nepalis punch! Special place, we highly recommend it!

I was very happy with this hotel. If you are going to Kathmandu you want to stay in the historic part of town. The location is perfect. It's close to all the sites. I had a great room and great hotel staff. I was very pleased.
