Stayed at the Shaligram for 2 months having arrived in Kathmandu with my family. The hotel has all necessary facilities for the longer-term visitor and is both conveniently located and offers good sized, comfortable rooms. The onsite restaurant was great, the gym handy and new laundry helpful, but undoubtedly the staff are the hotel's best asset - from front desk...

We booked an entire month but left after three nights. Had to make our kids wear headphones every night because of 'bed activities ' in other rooms. The private bathrooms are in a common hallway and the other guests use whatever bathroom they please, regardless of signs. Not nice to meet half naked men after their 'performance'. Price per night...

Dear Sir, Let me begin by apologising for the unfortunate experience your family had to encounter while staying at one of the Juddha Villa rooms. One room is right above where your children were staying and as most of the house is made of wood, unfortunately sound can be an issue. Having said that it was a fault on our...

This was suggested due to its proximity to the office am visiting. The place has a local ambience.. love the gardens and the home feel. Basic amenities were provided and the kitchen is a nice touch.. where the guest could do coffee and tea anytime. It was indeed like being in a home. However, it was over rated.. for the...

Dear Madame,, Thank you for your review of our Juddha Villa. It is one of four buildings in our hotel, and the villa is over one century old and converted into six bedroom units with a common dining room and kitchen. The price you paid which was USD 60-65 or thereabouts includes 24.3 % taxes. Rest assured it would be...

My wife and I have stayed at the Shaligram three times and we are planning to stay there when we return to Nepal in September 2016. The rooms/suites are comfortable, well-maintained, and have good facilities. The staff are friendly, responsive, and competent. The price is reasonable which means the hotel is a good value. We had intermittent difficulty with the...

Thank you very much for taking time to review the Juddha Villa. It is over a century old and we are constantly improving the facilities in there. The Villa is internally constructed with a lot of hard wood and we expect guests to respect the privacy of other guests. However, if you visit us again I suggest you stay in...

Our family spent 21 Dec to 02 Jan at the hotel and it was indeed a warm and relaxing stay. Despite the shortcoming faced by the city, we were assured of adequate heating and comfort throughout the stay. The staff members were all around very cooperative and attentive. We will always consider making Shaligram our home whenever we visit Kathmandu.

Despite the fuel blockade affecting Kathmandu, the staff at Hotel Shaligram did everything to make sure that I did not feel any inconvenience whatsoever - whether that be by ensuring 24 hour electricity, heating, laundry or the food at the restaurant. Moreover, the service by staff was excellent at all times.
