The fort was the perfect spot to introduce newcomers to Nepal and the Kathmandu Valley, and to start a 4 day trip around the valley. Great food, comfortable rooms and great views to the Lang Tang Himals!

This hotel was unique as it was made up of cottages with simple rooms. The rooms tend to get cold at night, but we had plenty of blankets, comforters, and a space heater. I watched the sun set, and rise. Every time I walked in and out of the main area I would take a deep breath and view the...

We had a group of 30 people so I got to see a lot of different rooms. My room was tiny, which was nice at night when it got so cold. They do provide hot water bags at night for each person to help them warm their bed. That was very helpful. Also, they have extra blankets if you need...

For the views itself this is probably one of the best ones to pick. The rooms are spacious back given the lack of ordinary heating they were "raw and Cold". The bed linen were, as an effect of this and the humid air "raw and Cold" but it Went warm after some time inside it. Surprisingly the best internet so...

Excellent stay on the top of the Nagarkot hill. Great classic style resort. Great accommodation with huge terrace for Great Himalayan overview. Even also the Everest, if weather is clear. Nice and testy food. Staffs are pretty good.

My wife and I visited this gem of a resort way back in 2013 during our honeymoon. This property is perfect for the newly weds. We stayed in a room in the main building. They have accommodations like cottages as well. The entire property is situated on top of a mountain, most probably the highest point in Nagarkot and is...

Despite outside look and difficult access road, Fort Resort has well maintained, large rooms, caring and helpful staff , excellent food. Little bit of dampness in room probably because of extension of building next to it. We're not very lucky but when the sky is clear, one can see the whole range of Himalayas. We had a two days of...

Situated on top of a hill (super winding roads to the top - welcome to Nepal!), nice view of the mountain range specially during sun rise and sunset! Not too may restaurants around so the best bet is to eat at the hotel which offers buffet style lunch/ breakfast / dinner or a la carte.

I was there with my family. I stayed for a night only. Great staff members. Good food. But the name makes confusion. I dont think it is "the fort resort" anymore, it is "the fort garden" now. Mgmt should be aware of the road which leads to the hotel. Its really very disgusting.

after the earthquake many building here is damaged and now on repairing. I visited here in January, the weather here is very cold. The suit room is very good with a heater. Here you have to wake up early to see the sunrise. A great view of The Himalaya you can see here.
