This handmade block hotel is perched above the White River, covered in luscious vegetation on a street right out of 1920s Arkansas. Tongue and groove floors and some Ozarkian engineering only add to the charm. Parking is no problem. The rooms are clean, clean, clean with beautiful quilts, cotton bedspreads, eclectic thick towels, lace curtains, and bathrooms from another era.... More

Thank you to Linda for helping make our recent stay in Calico Rock so enjoyable! We stayed in Rm 12. Quiet and comfortable. We were in the area turkey hunting in the Ozark National Forest. We enjoyed eating at Jo Jo's in Sylamore, which was Linda's recommendation for good food. This is not the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, etc. nor... More

This hotel and it's owners delivered a nice and comfortable nights rest. The building is definitely older but for my taste that simply adds to the charm. Mark and Linda both were very kind and worked with me on a late arrival and early check out. I only wish I could have stayed longer. I hope to be back in... More

Wonderful stay. They've restored the building so that it retains its authentic roots, but is very comfortable (and air-conditioned). We were traveling with small children and it was great to have the connected rooms.

We stayed in room 10 which has a king bed in one room and a double in the other, bath with shower, and small kitchenette, This room also has a private balcony. The landlords were very accommodating and seemed to enjoy giving us a tour of the hotel. Hotel is old, but well kept. The owners do all the upkeep,... More

We normally stay in a cabin when we visit Calico Rock, however it was 4th of July weekend and all booked up. We decided to try something different and stayed here. It is very old and quaint. We were skeptical when we pulled up but was pleasantly surprised after seeing inside. It is very old fashioned from the beds to... More

We enjoyed our stay and our 4 year old daughter loved having her own room. We stayed in room 10 which had 2 rooms and its own private balcony. It also had a small kitchenette with antique refrigerator. If you enjoy unique experiences and have an eclectic style, then you will enjoy River View. The hotel has a lot of... More

We just returned to St. Louis from a 3 night stay at the River View Hotel and could not have hoped for a better home base for exploring the beautiful area. The hotel itself is quite unique and truly takes you back in time - yet it is quite clean and comfy and inviting, There are porches that are perfect... More

Nice room. We got a room with two separate bedrooms and a bathroom. One with a full size bed and one with a king for $75. The bathroom had no shower only a bathtub. It was a quaint hotel. It reminded me of staying at my great-grandmother's as a child. There was no breakfast though, which I thought was weird... More
