My husband and I went for a horseback ride. The horse guide didn't even introduce himself and immediately started complaining about how he had been taking people out all day and this better be his last ride and that the horses were exhausted, which made my husband and I feel like crap. Then he went on to tell us how... More

We did a trail ride recently. .never again, the ride started with our guide Robert telling us how he hated doing trail rides. Our ride was a 2hr circle on rough hills and thru the woods..with nothing scenic about it on skiddish horses. Contacted owner ..she was indifferent about our issues with the ride...I'll spend my money elsewhere...never again

Made reservations for nine riders of various ages and skill levels. Was greeted by the owner and she was very nice and friendly. I think we overwhelmed them with nine riders because we had to wait for seven more horses to be saddled up. Robert the ranch hand was none too happy about having such a large group and made... More

We certainly appreciate the fact that you chosen to inform us of your trail riding experience at Bar Fifty Ranch. It's seldom that we receive inputs from bad experiences, usually only good experiences do we hear about and therefore we don't know what to correct unless we are told. Robert is a very capable employee and we get many compliments... More

This is a rustic and quaint little place that I took my grandson to for a getaway on his Spring Break. We are not quite "city slickers", but we don't have horses. So when we got there, he was thrilled to see all the horses and animals up close. We were met by a very friendly lady, and she showed... More

We took a trail ride on a family trip and had a great time. The trails were hilly through creeks and fields, and horses were great. We've been on rides at other places and Bar Fifty is the best. The horses were pretty and well kept as well.

Awesome - we rode for two hours through forests, crossing streams, up and down hills,... peaceful, beautiful, nice riding. The trail guide, Robert, was informative, the barn seemed well-run, and it is a MUST DO on our future list. Mom (40ish desk jockey who suffered the "sore" consequences gladly) and teenage daughter with some experience riding took an early morning... More

We have stayed here multiple times and we love coming back. We have pictures of our kids when they were little on their old antique fire truck and our kids still remember how much fun this was. The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We recently stayed here again in June 2015. We were disappointed... More

My Husband and I went to the Bar Fifty May 2013 and absolutely loved our stay. We stayed in a Large Cabin which was in a great location overlooking the mountains. The cabins are perfect for families. I saw a review that said that the cabins were not safe, which was not the case at all. I was worried about... More

We go to Bar 50 every year with our family. Our two children ride with us and have done this since they were 6 and 8 years old. Now we go at least 3 times a year. The trails are wonderful. We booked a weekend in one of the cabin with friends, the first night coming down the stairs I fell. We noticed that not only were the stairs abnormally high from the one below but the hand rail stopped two steps up making the drop very far. There were no hand rails on the back outside stair ways too. We... More
