If you are travelling across or up and down Arizona La Posada must be a destination hotel. No problem spending hours checking things out and a block away from Winslow's centre of town the "Standing on the Corner" exhibit.. The hotel had a number of outdoor sitting areas. We opted to drink margaritas by the train tracks and watch the...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 9 February 2017 via mobile

We have been staying at the La Posada regularly since 2008. The hotel has been reconverted to Mary Colter's design with period accoutrements and furniture. The rooms are really comfortable and the staff is excellent. We are always welcomed back with warm greetings. The hotel was a Union Pacific hotel and the Amtrak station still operates. Trains pass regularly which...

Winslow .... standing on the corner ...... take it easy. Hotel by the railroad. Lovingly restored. Truly interesting building, history, art, rooms. Welcoming staff. Great stay all round. And, of course, home to the Turquoise Room, serving the best food we ate on a 14 night road trip - genuinely some of the best food I've eaten anywhere. Don't miss...

I have always heard good things about La Posada, but being there for the first time was better than anything I have heard! The hotel is beautifully restored with large common rooms and even an art room exhibit! From the first steps into the hotel until we left I felt that this place is special and has a soul! You...

The La Posada Hotel was very interesting, the staff was friendly and helpful. The big surprise was the Turquoise Room restaurant. The food was excellent and the wait staff was professional and friendly. We will come back for another stay.

Quirky hotel. Confusion on how to enter but once we were in, customer service was fine. Our room was right off the laundry and in the junction of hallways. Room was tiny, no refrigerator, no fridge. Bed was soft and not comfortable at all. Couldn't leave for dinner because there wasn't enough parking. Would not stay here again.

Wonderful property. One of the original Harvey Hotels. Each room is different, and wonderful. Staff are extremely helpful. Turquoise Room offers wonderful food. A great getaway. This time we stayed in the Howard Hughes room, which offered a very comfy bed, fireplace, and jacuzzi tub. Lots of time to roam the grounds, gardens, great gift shop, and time to watch...

This is a quirky, art filled, comfortable museum of a hotel. The rooms are large and very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed taking in the expansive grounds/gardens, especially the rockers next to the railroad tracks. We grabbed a couple of the hundreds (maybe thousands) of books that are shelved all over the place, and rocked (outside rocking chairs) for a couple...

This is certainly a breath of fresh air from the standard hotels and chains. Every nook and cranny of the hotel reflects back on its history and the artwork and decor could leave one wandering about for hours. The room itself was spacious; just wish they had some shelves in the bathroom or more space around the shallow sink that...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights as it was central to our day trips to the Petrified Forest and the Homolovi State Park. This grand old hotel originally designed by Mary Colter has been lovingly restored Allan Affeldt. As you walk through the front gate you are greeted by the most beautiful and life sized iron donkeys and...
