Simply the best, tastiest and most authentic Cypriot buffet that we've ever had. And what made it even nicer was that the owners family joined their guests in eating at the same time. No dried up barbecued pork here, it was beautifully juicy and tender; also of special note were the courgette & egg and the enormous stuffed red peppers. An amazing view only added to it being an absolute bargain @ 20euro!

retreat away from everything and everyone! A chance to recharge and reconnect with our heads!
Nestling up in the hills above Latchi totally hidden from view this is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel. Run by Soulla, this family run hotel is a dream. It’s clean, quiet and very well catered for. There is the infinity pool surrounded by loungers and a few hammocks swaying under the palm trees, perfect for a nap or a good book.
The breakfast is buffet style and there are great options for lunch and supper - we got lucky and one night there was a buffet which was amazing. The pastries are melt in your mouth good and if you see the trifle, pile it high!!!!
The rooms are rustic and simple, ours had lovely wooden shutters which when open reveal a double aspect of the sea and mountains. I could have spent the day just sitting looking.
The bed was firm with spare pillows and super soft throws in case you feel cold. Tea and coffee provided in the room, and a fridge too. We also had bath in our en-suite which was a treat. I enjoyed that with loads of bubbles and essential oils, and a glass of fizz.
The locals, and many Cypriots from the wider area come for food and drinks, it’s somewhat famous for the views and a very popular wedding venue (I’m tempted to book it for ours!).
It is quite remote and if you are not a “sitting by the pool” kind of tourist, you may get restless. If you want to explore the mountains beaches I would recommend having a hire car.
All in all it’s a solid 10 gold stars from me. We will be going back next year - we wouldn’t miss it for the world.

The hotel has a stunning ambience overlooking the bay at Arkamis and the Troodos hills and is cooler than the plains being at an elevated height. Whilst we did not stay in the rooms overnight, we could see they are comfortable and well appointed. There is also an infinity pool overlooking the bay. easy parking off the main road to Stavros.
The only issue we had was the Thursday evening meal of rabbit which was on the special's menu. We did not complain as we were entertaining Cypriot guests, but the meal was a bit underwhelming, and the hotel needs to reflect on this. There was no jus on the rabbit which whilst nicely cooked was a disappointment. There were 3 potatoes - not exactly generous along with some salad. The dessert was apple cake which was slightly on the dry side and was not accompanied by cream or ice cream as this would have lifted the quality of the dessert considerably.
There is much to admire and like about the hotel. However, apart from the outstanding Sunday buffet I would not return for an evening meal, and it is embarrassing to invite our Cypriot guests and expect nothing less than excellence.
I am being critical, but hotels have a duty and responsibility for the utmost consistency.
