First the good: the location and views from the hostel are fantastic. The restaurant was good, staff were helpful, free water provided and good shower. The not so good: noisy construction, very average kitchen, terrible wifi. So all up certainly not a bad option.

Arrived at 8:00 pm, good thing we weren't later as the check-in guy left at 9pm. Check in demanded pre-payment for both nights, fortunately we only paid for one. Room floor was clean, but the sheets had clearly been used with stains and hairs still on them. We were given 3 different passwords to the wifi by 3 different employees,...

Booked on booking.com for 372Q email stayed taxes were not included, though it is easy to include taxes on booking. Even with the 22% tax the price should have been 400Q, they sent me a bill for 450Q saying that the price on booking was incorrect. Mikaso is capable of having all of this correct instead they seem to just...

My husband and I are veteran budget travelers in Latin America, so we're accustomed to no-frills lodging. But this place was gross. When we arrived the guy at the reception desk was sullen, scowling and unfriendly. When we opened the door to our room we were bowled over by the smell of chlorine. We aired out the room and we're...

We booked on booking.com and felt that the room we booked was over priced. For $60 Canadian we expected at least two double beds. We got a single and a double between three people that faced inside (as opposed to outdoors facing). Probably would have been cheaper to each get separate rooms. Hot shower was broken but management did fix...

I wouldn't recommend staying in the shared rooms. The location is great and the price is the cheapest I found for a shared room (Q60), but when I got the room and to my bed it was covered in bugs. My pillow was supposed to be white but instead was black because that's how many flies covered it. It was...

Great place. Right off the lake with a beautiful view. Accommodations were comfortable and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's close by to a lot of restaurants and cafes so plenty of food options. Probably about 10 minute walk to the city center but that's a good thing since it keeps you away from the busy traffic and...

Spent 3 nights here in a 8 bed dorm with bathroom. We loved, loved the location (a bit away from "the party area" but still close to nice restaurants and the town. The common area to lick the sun and chill out is great, and they have awesome drinks and good food in the restaurant. When the sun went down...

The lake is dirty, with dangerous and toliets drain in it. This town grew too fast and has not been environmentally sound. It is not eco anything. As well the boat people rip off the tourists with inflated prices. The village people want your money but they aren't going to treat you nice to get it.

So I went with a fellow traveler to this Saturday brunch they had. The food was ok and the atmosphere was ok. Of course when we left i paid for both me and my friend. I remember it perfectly because i was even checking to see if i have smaller bills for tips. The next day we go to the...
