My husband and I came here on a one-night visit to Lake Atitlan. Perhaps it was because we were there on a Tuesday, but the lake was absolutely quiet as could be. There were no other travelers at the hotel, nor any at the hotels in all of Santa Cruz! You have to travel everywhere by boat on the lake...

Your experience in this hotel depends on your accommodations....the little bungalows looked charming, but my room (solo senior traveler) was basic, even at a relatively low cost, as was another I saw. Going over past reviews, there were negative comments about the owner, but to me she seemed straightforward and helpful as long as I was reasonable. Staying here (as...

Recently spent a night at this hotel and wished I could have stayed longer. Room was basic, but clean and comfortable. The real star is the garden and garden lounge. Right on the water, the views are absolutely spectacular. The garden is beautiful. Food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. Service friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend it as...

I met the owner Nicol and her daughter Laura on the shuttle from Antigua to Pana and she invited me stay at her hotel. The hotel is located right on the shore of Lake Atilan and is only a 10 minute boat ride from Pana. The hotel has a 100 million dollar view of the lake and volcanos. The room...

Of the hotels/restaurants in Santa Cruz, the Casa Rosa is the one I frequent the least. My main reason for going is that everywhere else seems to only serve group dinners and if you don';t book a reservation in advance you often cannot eat. The Casa Rosa is the exception. You can go in any time and order whatever you...

I have been again in La Casa Rosa and I enjoyed very much my Semana Santa holidays. They have improved very much the use of the lovely garden through building the Garden Lounge. This is a nice place for chilling out, listening relaxing music and having great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Depending on the guests, sometimes the owner's daughter is...

Beautiful green garden and a relaxing cafe right on the lakeside which makes you feel you are on a boat or just floating. Wonderful sunset views and the happy hour is accompanied by great music. It is an ideal place to enjoy a fews days of just sitting back and taking it easy.

I was a couple of days in the Hotel La Casa Rosa, St. Cruz, managed by a Guatemalan woman. I enjoyed the peaceful and nice garden atmosphare of this hotel. In December 2011, they opened a very lovely Garden Lounge with a perfect view to the lake. This is a wonderful improvement of the Hotel (i was there before) as...
