We arrived by car and it was a little hard to find. Once we finally arrived we already had a great employee waiting for us at the parking. He helped us (he did all the work!) carry our luggage through the jungle and to the hotel. The hotel is very simple, our tent only had a bed and a fan to help against the warmth. However, the service offered at this hotel is really exceptional. The employees are very very friendly and ALWAYS helpful. This is one of the few hotels I have been in in which employees are genuinely happy to see you. Every need or concern was met, our tours were well planned and the food was also nice. Overall, despite the simplicity of the hotel, the kind nature and generosity of the employees really elevated the experience. Would highly recommend :)

I found them online, started chatting with them via WhatsApp, Jessica was very helpful and responded fast. The tent camp is in the middle of jungle, by a beautiful swimmable beach /big waves though/ and about 1 hour walk from Drake Bay village. To get there, we drove to Sierpe, from there took a taxi boat at 4pm /$25/ and cruised through a river, mangroves and the sea first to Drake Bay and then to Tent Camp / tell the captain where you go/. The taxi ride takes a little over an hour. They waited for us and helped with luggage. The tent was very basic but overlooked the beach. Bathrooms snd showers are shared and very basic too. But you are in the middle of jungle /almost alone/, listening to the sea as you are falling asleep, it was a paradise! Also the food is excellent /I m not exaggerating/ and internet is surprisingly very good should you need it. We stayed 4 nights and I would come back! You can hike to Drake Bay or the other way towards Corcovado NP. But just hanging out at the camp is great. We were lucky to be there with only 3 other guests and I m sure that helped too. Also big thanks to Alonso, he took care of us at the camp, he makes great cocktails and helps with whatever you need /trips etc/.

We really enjoyed staying in the tent on the ocean. The beds were comfortable & except for the beautiful sounds of the ocean it was very quiet. Our meals were included & the food was very good and plentiful. There is a bar from which you can purchase beer, wine, cocktails & soft drinks if you wish. The communal bathrooms could have been kept a little cleaner. On the day we arrived, there were 2 day groups which had lunch on their way back from Corcovado. The bathrooms should have been cleaned after they left. We loved the location because it was located on the Drake Bay Trail. A little over an hour hike, one way would take you to the Rio Claro and an hour in the other direction takes you to the town of Drake Bay. Both were great walks. An excursion to Corcovado was included. It was enjoyable, but if the ocean is rough as it was for us, it is a little tough on old bones. We wish we had been told to take water and some crackers, as nothing is sold in the park & you cannot eat within the park. When we were there 8 years ago, it was allowed. We were very thirsty & hungry by the time we returned.

We spend 3 nights with our 2 girls (6 and 8 yrs old). The tent camp has a new administration since 2019, and the family running the place is local and amazing. Lots of advises, great food, personalize service at every moment. We feel at home. Sleeping in the tents was a truly experience with beds. Listening the ocean, witnessing the storms far in the ocean and at the place. Nature at its best! The beach in front of the tent camp is beautiful. You can see the coastline north and in clear days you can spot Los Crestones up in Chirripo. I loved the view in the morning. Sunset sets by Cano Island and you can see it from the beach or rocky area. Food was fresh, balanced and natural. Nubia (new administration in charge) was sure to please every request. Showers with hot water, and very clean bathrooms and common areas. Best way to arrive there is by boat from Sierpe, the taxi boat is about $10-15 per person. It takes about 1.15 hours. We spot dolphins and whales along the ride. Our captain Andres was amazing. You can arrange the taxi boat with Don Jorge from "Donde Jorge" and Hotel & Restaurant Oleaje Sereno. You can park your car there at a safe parking. The river boat was amazing as well. All the staff at the tent camp was very nice and ready to help us with any need. We hike up to Reserva Rio Claro along the coast, passing Marenco and we could seen whales along the hike. This area is just beautiful. We visited San Josecito as well, and The Tree of Life Turtle project. The tent camp crew can arrange tours to Cano Island, Corcovado, Whales and Dolphin watching, horseback riding, and more. They are really well connected. Driving to that place is challenging specially during raining season. I would recommend this during dry season, but raining season means going trough rivers and streams and you need a good high 4 wheel drive car for sure, and a good driver! All Covid protocols were followed from the boat wearing masks, and at the tent camp. About safety, the hotel gives you a locker for your values and tents have locks as well. We feel it was very safe. Must to bring flashlight, insect repellent, sunscreen, binoculars. Thanks for everything. We will be back!
