I had one of the new rooms at the top of the stairs. Two hundred and fifty stairs, more or less. Advantages, beautiful view and wildlife, Toucans, hummingbirds, Capuchin monkeys, more. Gorgeous, large room with great bathroom and shower. They have an ice and kitchenette station up there plus a small frig, in the room. There are lower level rooms...

Myself,my wife and two teenage daughters very much enjoyed our 5 night stay at jinetes. The location was great to access drake bay and other attractions as it situated on the trail to many great beaches to the south. The staff was fantastic at the hotel, restaurant and adventure tours which operates from the hotel. Overall this is a great...

My wife, twin baby boys (11 months) and myself stayed here in Feb-17 for 5 nights and wish we had stayed longer. Initially uncertain of what to expect as the website could do with an update, the place was much better than expectations in every way. - Location: On the beach with rooms a few steps away (we were in...

Sitting on a cliff in front of the ocean the setting is wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms clean and airy. The beds are comfortable. The roof top seating area is a great place for a nap. We had a great time there and a lot of that was do to the staff. We would go back.

When my partner and I arrived at Jinetes, I definitely forgot about the slightly bumpy boat ride to get there from Sierpe! The staff were immediately super friendly and helpful, taking our bags, discussing and arranging our itinerary and their services. They also helpfully arranged our transport to and from San Jose. After the 185 step walk to our Standard...

We spent 5 days at this Hotel. Our package included Breakfast. That included a lot of choices. The staff of the restaurant would hold up a card and you'd pick your eggs ( scrambled, omelette, fried) what you want in them (ham, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and more) then a meat choice ( ham, bacon, sausage ) They offered Gallo Pintos...

I checked the reviews in general before we booked but didn't read carefully. It turned out to be a very fortunate mistake. Had I realized there were 184 steps to the air-conditioned rooms I would never have gone, and would have missed something special. The staff are incredibly helpful: from the woman who is the waitress /cook to the managers,...

This place place was the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae that was our vacation. The service was impeccable. They assisted us in getting to their location. This was no small feat because it involves a single prop plane that delivers you to a metal hut near a river. A driver is there to pick you up. You...

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had originally planned to fly into Drake Bay but the airport was closed and we were informed a couple of weeks before that we'd need to connect to a different airport and then get a taxi and boat to the hotel (they arranged the taxi for us and gave us details of the...
