After a nice 1,5hr hike (thankfully we could leave our backpacks with at the owner's house) we arrived at Tamandua where our friendly host Alan welcomed us with a coconut. It was absolutely beautiful. If you want enjoy the beauty of nature, the tranquility and the harmony, you are at the right place. Without electricity it is great! (Please keep it!) What a great experience! About 4km walking from Drake bay, takes about 1,5 hours. We have seen Toekans, Tayra, snakes, frogs and a lot of birds. This is my second time visiting this establishment. Last year we visited here just for the day. Wanting to experience the real jungle we made arrangements to come back this year. Jan/15. we only had time to spend one night. Admittedly this is not for everyone. If you are a true adventurer or researcher, this is the place to come.... More
