I have just come back form Drake bay, Costa Rica. I stayed in lovely B&B place called Finka Maresia. I travelled on my own and this was great place full of young travellers form all over the world. Every evening after a long, adventures day a big bunch of us would gather together at the table waiting for delicious 4... More

We had a lovely 4 night stay here in a room with shared bathroom. Book early--we couldn't get into the bungalows and we couldn't stay as long as we wanted. But this room was quite fine. Finca Maresia is very simple and at the same time very elegant. It's a beautiful site and deserves at least one unplanned day to... More

Finca Maresia was our last 'stop' on our 2 week Costa Rica tour and this was the real 'Pura Vida' We selected Drake Bay as it is a good starting point to visit the Corcovado NP (the place we had rated highest on our ‘must do’s’ list when planning our trip) and wanted to stay at Finca Maresia after reading... We stayed at Finca Maresia the 3rd week of January, 2012. It was an amazing experience! The hotel is modern, beautiful, clean and the staff is very friendly. Juan, one of the owners, is very hospitable and he is a wealth of information about the area and which tours he recommends. One of the coolest things we did in Costa... More

We stayed here January 19th to the 23rd and loved the stay. The rooms were amazing, open air shower and balcony's are a must. When we got there Juan let us know how things run at the Hotel and showed us our room. We saw 2 Toucans fly by in minutes. The hotels is a little ways from the ocean,... More

We travelled by boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay where we were picked up from the beach by a driver to Finca Maresia. Juan - the owner - was already waiting at the main gate to guide us to our room. We felt at home from the first moment on. The room was absolutely beautiful (clean, nice furniture and bathroom,... More

To have a clean place, a soft fresh towel, quiet nights and good food while on the road is wonderful. This is exactly what this place has. If you come by boat the owner (Juan) will meet you at the shore upon your arrival and drive you to the finca. Breakfast (a delightful one) is included in the price and... More

Four of us stayed at Finca Maresia for a week at the beginning of Jan. 2012. The natural setting is lovely; the wildlife beautiful; and Juan, the owner/host, couldn't have been nicer & more accommodating. He schedules the day trips for his guests; is personable & informative & a delightful part of the stay at Finca Maresia. The 8 bungalows... More

I'm a backpacker and enjoy planning my trip as I go. That said, Finca Maresia should be the place you start your journey, perhaps the only reservation when you get off the plane. The exquisite design sense, great value, and cozy atmosphere that the inn-owners create is second to none. Pair that with the incredible naturalist outings with which you... More

Very beautiful situated with the parrots, tucans and other birds around your veranda. The bungalows are beautiful in à modern minimalistic design. À familiar place where we met the nicest people in our three weeks trip. And one of them was Juan, the owner of the place. He is just unbelievable, Doing everything for his guests. /Birgitta and Lasse from... More
