So we were there for a night at it seeed alright at first but once we got inside the room, was not so clean, the bathroom had dead cockroaches and some worms, we just brushed it up because we were tired and went out for dinner. Later we unfortunately lost a key to one of our rooms (we had 2 rooms) and she was really hostile and unprofessional towards us because of it, which was pretty shocking, not very friendly host to be honest. She didnt had any back up key apparently, so we had to wait about an hour and a half so they could open the door, not too bad, but the worst part was that we accidenally left a bag with some expensive valuable stuff inside, the next day they didn't answer our calls at all the whole day, and 2 days later after they answered the phone, they just told us that they apparently "threw away" the bag just like that, they didnt called us before(they had our contact info) and the lady didnt care at all, didn't show apologetic one bit, which was really frustrating, then, she just hung up the phone, its incredible how poor customer service they offer considering the situation of the country. She just doesnt care and probably stole our stuff, because i highly doubt she just "threw it away". Bad experience overall.…
If you are looking for a nice local bar and hotel on the beach in Costa Rica. Rio Lindo is the place. The rooms are clean and nice and friendly staff and reasonable priced. Always have a good time when visiting.
Where to begin? If I could rate this stay 0 stars I would. To begin with, I had to request new sheets in my room as the ones in my bed were clearly dirty. The pillow and the room as a whole stunk of must and other questionable smells. Upon walking in, it was clear the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in months (maybe years?), complete with rodent feces on the window sill. After trying to enjoy a beer and receiving unwelcome conversation from the permanent drunks that hang around the hotel bar, I tried to get some sleep for the night. This is when the real fun began. The sleazy hotel bar played American pop hits from the 1980's, catering to the American ex-pat regulars at the bar hoping to relive their glory days. We shut the window after we had heard enough of melodies in the style of "Girls just wanna have fun" by Cindi Lauper. Around 10pm the bar next to the hotel started BLARING the worst club tunes to be found in any beach side town, rivaling even Daytona beach during spring break. The bumping and shouts of "Daleeeeeee!!!!" continued well into 2am. Needless to say, I "woke up" from my sleepless night at 6am, skipping my morning coffee, to get the hell out of this black hole of garbage energy the fastest I possibly could. If you have any self-respect do not stay here.…

Just off to the right as you enter Dominical, Rio Lindo is great property for value, views of the river, and a lively scene at the pool bar. Try the pizza; Rolando is a great cook. The rooms are simple, yet clean and comfortable. Each downstairs room has a hammock and a stoop in front. Easy walking distance to a number of good restaurants and the beach. Jo, the owner, is excellent and super accommodating. I traveled during off season, and even though I was one of few guests, the property was always quietly buzzing with activity. English is the most commonly spoken language on site, but local Ticos, expats, and tourists all come together to enjoy the days and nights. Support this place with a stop for lunch or a drink even if you don't stay. Definitely will be back.
