Brian and Jodie are great people. God will bless them always. The workers and the guests are so friendly, they made feel part of the home. The facilities are good. The food is so healthy. I can't think of anything negative, except for the insect...More
Beautiful remote location and lovely accommodations. We had discussed with the host the specific activities we hoped to experience during our visit and were told we could book those once we arrived, so were surprised with the set weekly schedule of activities that did not...More
Imagine 37 acres of open and flowing, lightly-groomed beauty and energy in the mountains of Costa Rica. This is truly a beautiful place. Walk barefoot picking fresh, ripe, organic, and delicious fruit in the sun (so much great fruit!)...wander through dense forest (on maintained trails)...More
Our duplex made of hardwoods was perfect to share with our two teenage stars gifted to us temporarily from the Sun. The experiences were transformational in the most magical and high vibrational frequencies possible. The food and education is demonstrated in the improved health of...More
We recomend this place to everyone who loves pure nature, peaceful environment, spirituality and healthy organic vegetables, fruit and herbs picked right from trees. Anyone can find what they need here, resting and healing, regaining strenth or being active and experience different adventures.
It looks more like a vacation spot than an organized health retreat. If one is coming to restore its health, he would expect balanced meals, not just self-prepared raw fruits and veggies. I thought this is the main point of any health retreat. Also, it is not affordable for an average Joe battling his way back to health. May be that is what it costs to maintain the retreat in Costa Rica, but $70-100/per night is expensive. On youtube video they said (in 2010) $3,500 for 3months including all meals, treatments, etc.

We most certainly offer a different perspective and approach than most organized health retreats. Our goal is for our guests to leave here empowered, capable of continuing, not just a diet, but a lifestyle, when they return home, to whatever degree of their choosing. That means, guests have to be hands-on in the kitchen and self-prepare their meals, they have to develop a healthy relationship with food, with nature, with themselves. It all happens here.
Some guests do use Farm of Life as a vacation spot, and we are the perfect vacation destination for the Healthy Lifestyle, for raw-vegan-vegetarians and for anyone seeking a spiritual/ meditative getaway.
We keep our prices as affordable as we can. Yes, we have slightly raised our prices since 2010 so that we can stay alive here in the jungle. Room rates are tiered such that we still offer the economical price of $70 per night plus sales tax, and we give 10% and 20% discounts for long term visits. You can spend 30-nights here for $1790, including sales tax, and this includes all the fruits and vegetables of your choosing. Good luck finding anything anywhere else in the world that is this affordable.
