We were on our way from the Grand Canyon to California, and this motel was in the town we picked to stay or the night. Once arrived, we were nicely greeted by the management, a very nice couple who know their way around and were very open and friendly with us. We enjoyed the stay a lot. There is also...

I'd fixed on this motel as I surfed the web to find a place that offered wifi in the room as I needed to do some work on my laptop and needed e-mail for that. SO I arrived - without a reservation - and was promptly and efificently checked in, by a very friednly lady. Even though the place is...

The first thing that I noticed when I walked into the room was its cleanliness. When I checked out the bathroom I expected to see an 'older' bathroom but was delighted to see how clean it was. The room I had was better kept and cleaner than those high priced national chains with all of the other stuff (plastic bags,...

I was riding Route 66 on a solo motorcycle trip & I booked the Romney after checking Tripadvisor. I was happy to see this classic mom & pop motel in Seligman,Az. I met the owner when I checked & she was just lovely-I got there late Easter afternoon & she called to make sure the restaurant was open. My room...

We expected a quaint older Route 66 motel without the frills of a resoprt. But at $65.00 per day we expected basic motel amenities but they weren't there. No Kleenex dispensor, no hair dryer, no coffee pot, no iron, no plastic laundry bag. We stayed two nights and didn't receive maid service at all while there, not even emptying the...

First of all, Sandy let us check in VERY early (8:00 AM). This was much appreciated as we had been up all night working. In addition, I left a bag behind and she was nice enough to call me AND ship it to me. It's nice to know customer service still exists! Thanks SANDY!!!

Please accept this motel for what it is...a vintage Route 66 gem. Check in with Sandy was fast and very friendly. She wanted to know which room we preferred and gave us several choices. The room was clean and had what we needed for a two night stay as a mid point from the Grand Canyon South rim and Peach...

As part of a group of four motorcyclists touring Arizona and Route 66, we found the rooms at the Romney very comfortable, and the staff very welcoming indeed.

Retro style, hope they don't update it too much, but good since new roof prevents leaking! Owners are charming and friendly. No breakfast but great restaurant in walking distance (Westside Lilos, NOT the Roadkill cafe), and cool bar called the Black Cat Bar with good jukebox (get in there quick before the locals put on trash!). Great value for low...
